More re-done.

As per previous:

IF OUTSIDE USA, YOU NEED A GEO-UNBLOCKER ("SMART DNS") TO GET PLUTO TV

Attached tar.gz has everything you need to get Pluto TV "Live" channels into MythTV, including:

Scripts to automatically start and stop channel stream for any channel - it restreams to http ports on 127.0.0.1, so multiple tuners can use a single stream per channel. Tracks number of start and stop requests and only stops the stream when all tuners are finished.

A channel manager script that lets you add and remove Pluto TV channels in MythTV, including updating the mythconverg database, grabbing channel icons etc. This only requires "remote friendly" input ( up-arrow, down-arrow and enter) to operate. You can have PlutoTV channels on any MythTV channel number, and edit the MythTV channel number from the manager.

Listing grabber - gets up to 4 hours of Pluto guide data in XMLTV format (ready for mythfilldatabase)

Channels DO NOT FAIL at "commercial breaks" because using the Samsung Smart TV stream addresses.

When you run the channel manager, it "notices" new Pluto channel numbers, Pluto channel numbers that no longer exist and changed "channel ID" or "channel name". It can automatically "fix" some issues, such as a channel that is on a new number, but has the same channel ID.
It not only creates the channels in the "channel" table, it also manages the "iptv_channel" table as well, so "full integration", and you can easily add the manager to your standard front-end menus.

See "README" and "INSTALL" files for details.

Enjoy!

Thanks for this I sometimes use Pluto TV so would like to give it a go but don't see the attachment

We can get Pluto TV in the UK without a VPN but I suspect we may get different channels than the USA?
