ghost recording shows
for the last couple of months my mythtv system records shows and sets new recording rules all by itself. I go through the recording rules and delete rules nearly every day, things like the 6 o'clock news, or soap operas from the middle of the after noon when no one is home. I don't have any idea where to even look for a problem like this.
Re: ghost recording shows
We have had (almost) the opposite happen. Shows got deleted
when mythweb was exposed to the Internet and perhaps bots
effectively pressed the delete recording button.
See if you have mythweb and that its correctly setup with a password.
The Services API has an endpoint that can be used to schedule recordings.
Perhaps an app that has that capability or Kodi (which I know nearly nothing
about.)
This is guesswork at this point. You could use: mythbackend --setverbose http
which would log Services API attempts. Replacing (or adding) schedule may
yield some clues, but be aware that your log will get very noisy.
/var/log/mythbackend.log is the location if you're not used to looking at it.
