Recording IPTV initiating from KODI

Backgorund:
Currently using Kodi 17.3 on an Android box. IPTV channels come from a M3U list using "Simple PVR" addon.
I noticed that there is a MythTV addon in kodi but in reading forums, wiki etc found out that MythTV does not run on Android.

Questions:
I would like to use a Raspberry Pi 3 , install MythTV on it and, using the MythTV addon, control the Raspberry and M3U list from Kodi.
Will this work?
If so,
Will I be able to record in HD if the IPTV channel is HD?
Will I be able to record multiple channels at once through the Mythtv PVR addon?
Will I still need a Tuner on the Rapsberry if I am maintaining the M3U list in Kodi and sending the stream to the raspberry with the MythTV addon?

Any advice greatly appreciated
