hi, currently i have a debian(wheezy) backend and a mythbuntu frontend (both on .27.current) I want to get to .28 but also, i need to upgrade the debian backend to support .28. sooo, i was thinking changing the backend to mythbuntu as well, then i would be able to go to .28.
I have seen the notices that mythbuntu will not be developed any more, but the mythbuntu mythtv repo's will still be avaiable, so should i even bother with mythbuntu...if not then what? ubuntu and use the mythbuntu mythtv repo's?
whats the general consensus on what os to use?
thanks
to mythbuntu or not to mythbuntu

i use xubuntu for other things, so that would be fine, but what repo's do i use to get mythtv? i don't want to build.

Re: to mythbuntu or not to mythbuntu
xubuntu seems to be the favorite. what about versions? one complication is I use the saa7164 driver for my capture card. my understanding is that it does not work in ubuntu version 16, only version 14....anyone know about that?
thanks
