Resurrecting my mythtv

Post by barbarashipley »

Hello,
I'm new to the forum. I set up MythTV back in 2020 with two cards: a Fusion HDTV and a Firewire card with four ports. Unfortunately, my hard drive failed in 2007. Now, I'm considering cutting the cord and getting a fast internet package from Xfinity. I'm also looking for an external antenna to connect to my Fusion HDTV card for ATSC.

Since I plan to get only the internet package (no TV), can I configure Roku to work with the MythTV backend?

I also recall being able to receive ATSC signals over Comcast's cable back in the day. Does that still work?

Consider a Fire TV stick or similar device with Leanfront. Comcast previously provided the local channels over clearQAM, but that is no longer possible in my area.
