Re: Program guide not updating

I just ran mythtv backend setup to add the command line arguments --dd-grab-all and restarted and ran the mythfilldatabase. It ran and created /tmp/mythtv_ddp_data with jim owner and group permissions. And that was using the scripts in the menus. I'm going to delete the file and see if tomorrow it r...

Re: Program guide not updating

by update, do you mean to run sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade??

If that's it, then I have kept the system up to date.

Re: Program guide not updating

I checked the frontend status and the guide was last updated yesterday at noon when I did it manually, so it indicated 13 days of guide data and was going to run today about 2pm. So I exited the FE and run mythfilldatabase from the command line. It appeared to run okay, but the FE status says mythfi...

Re: Program guide not updating

The BE is on all the time with a UPS. It's suppose to only reboot when I manually do it. I currently do not have amy /tmp/mythtv* files. Would I be better off using a Mythbuntu distro vs. using Lubuntu with Mythtv installed from the apt-get method? I did not add any additional repositories before I ...

Program guide not updating

Something has changed and I can't figure out what. If I run the backend setup, then restart and run mythfilldatabase, I get a complete 14 day of guide data from ScheduleDirect. However, if I check everyday using the frontend system status, it says the mythfilldatabase ran, but no changes inserted, c...

Re: mythtv backend Win 7 hardware drivers

Windows Device Manager list the tuner as: AVerMedia A188C PCIe Pure ATSC I also have a Avermedia M780, but it is a single tuner and is currently collecting dust. I thought that once you had a Windows driver for a Device, the upper layer software would access the drivers for all those devices the sam...

mythtv backend Win 7 hardware drivers

I have mythtv backend running on Linux currently and it uses a HVR-2250. I would like to move that card to a Win 7 PC that is currently running MCE and uses Avermedia tuner cards. I know that in Linux my Avermedia cards are not supported. Does the fact that Avermedia cards have Windows 7 drivers all...
