Re: leanfront requirements

Minimum api version is 21, so it should run. I have tested leanfront on a fire stick second gen, but not recently. I will test it again to see if it still works. However, the fire stick second gen does not handle MPEG2 well, it stops and starts. Also it does not deinterlace. So if you only have H264...

Re: MythFillDatabase not updating the Mythtv programming database when using XMLTV.

31.0+fixes.20200323.9579662cdc-0ubuntu1 that you are running now is the original March version. Upgraded versions can be obtained from the PPA. You should not have any problems accessing the database from a version upgraded from the PPA.

Re: MythFillDatabase not updating the Mythtv programming database when using XMLTV.

The memory problem should have been fixed in v31.0-37-gf5d75a6de7. Is your version earlier than that?

Re: Inactivity of Android/Shield stops playback

I would think that it should set a bookmark before exiting playback. I suggest you log a bug at https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/issues to get this commit fixed so it sets a bookmark before exiting playback if the option to set bookmarks on exit is selected in setup.

Re: MythFillDatabase not updating the Mythtv programming database when using XMLTV.

You only need one source. Three capture cards, one video source, three input connections.

I recommend you check your setup of capture cards, video source and input connections. Something is likely inconsistent.

Re: MythFillDatabase not updating the Mythtv programming database when using XMLTV.

Try running mythfilldatabase with -v xmltv to see if the grabber is displaying any error messages.

Re: Leanfront v0-218 fade to black

I have not seen this but all of my viewing lately is on fire stick 4K. Let me know if you find anything more specific. I do not think any change between 216 and 218 could have caused this. The only changes are adding the audio sync adjustment feature, and a change to the transparency of some dialogs.

Re: leanfront zoom issue but only on the FireTV Cube?

I use HandBrakeCLI for transcoding. It also will by default eliminate letter box borders. However that takes time and is not useful for Live TV or watching programs still recording.

Re: leanfront zoom issue but only on the FireTV Cube?

The audio on the sample you sent me is awful. Did you put this through mythtranscode or mythcommflag? Those do seem to mess up the audio for leanfront. Of you use those then I recommend putting the file through mkvmerge after the mythtranscode or mythcommflag if you want to use it with leanfront.

Re: leanfront zoom issue but only on the FireTV Cube?

I don't have a fire tv cube so I can't test this. If the problem also affects VLC then, as you say, it is likely a problem with the fire tv cube itself. Leanfront uses standard android calls to resize. It is surprising that a basic android method does not work on the fire tv call.

Re: leanfront zoom issue but only on the FireTV Cube?

What is the title you see when doing the zoom on the fire tv cube? Does it say "Set Picture Size" or "Stretch Picture"?

Re: leanfront zoom issue but only on the FireTV Cube?

I have redesigned some of the playback ui. It now uses a dialog with a seekbar to fine tune size. It uses up/down arrows for the previous predefined values. Please try the new version (leanfront-v0-216-g48b40f7.apk) and see whether the problem affects both the predefined values and the seekbar. Also...

Re: Huge mythbackend logs (solved)

The recommended solution is go to the front end, select All group, and look for programs that are highlighted as having missing files. Normally they are displayed in a different color, depending on the theme. Then delete them through the delete menu option. It will remind you that the file is not fo...
