Re: MythTV where next,..

Just few word from my side... I'm not myth developer per se, so this might be little off-topic... I'm developing mythtv distro exclusively devoted to mythtv. So far minimyth2 has out-of-box support for 1198 graphic cards with full auto detection and hw decode support (when relevant). I spent conside...

Sticky: When kernel boots OK - but no graphics, etc

If You have problem with Minimyth2 and You want my assistance in resolving, it is usually very helpful for me to provide diagnostic data (Your hardware profile, current logs, etc). For this purpose Minimyth2 has included utility which: -gathers all basic sys.info, logs, etc -collect all this data wi...

Sticky: When boot hangs at kernel boot stage...

mm2 has in-kernel included support for latest Intel/AMD HW If You have issue with boot process hanging at early stage, then issue might be related to missing firmware. mm2 has low-level drivers (FB/DRM) build-in into kernel. This allows to have KMS and splash at early boot. Downside of this is that ...

Intel has last...

Re: New Mythbuntu install, Prof 7301 DVB-S2 tuner won't work

FYI: IIRC default in-kernel demodulator (stv903) drivers for this card have problems with 8psk transponders having 5/6 FEC (card can't get lock) Replacing drivers to alternative ones (also in kernel) fixes issue (and this card works really well). Pls be aware if You plan to receive DVB-S2 transponde...

Re: PiP fails, 0.27

Pls try swap PIP widows. It should work then.... With Nvidia there is bug causing that initial LiveTV PIP window is black - but swapping windows restore playback in PIP window. Also it is wort to mention that in AMD PIP is not working at all, while on Intel it works all OK. However smooth playback w...

Re: Full support for S3 sleep-resume

When the command connect reconnects, the event connection is supposed to reconnect automatically as well, and the code seems to support this. The only thing I can guess is that the second connection is not properly being linked into the event system. This is really a bug report, not a feature reque...

Re: Kabini

Right now, that is a very iffy prospect on AMD hardware. Recently I do some tests on Brazos (E350) and I must say FOSS AMD support for video reaches nearly Nvidia level (which is reference for me). HW video decode works for all content I tested. But what surprise me is DI quality. Visually I can't ...

Jya,
Just wonder: is Torc an replacement to FE (works with BE via myth protocol/services API) or rather it is standalone media player more like XBMC?. How far did You went with Torc?
