[Solved] HDHomeRun Quatro OTA Works :-), Premium TV Does Not :-(

Why can I not watch HDHomeRun's Premium TV demo channels, but OTA is OK? I purchased a new generation (to me) HDHomeRun Connect Quatro for the chance to quit our cable for the Premium TV. I have the Quatro installed with the firmware 20180817 and can see the demo channels and scanned for the OTA cha...

Re: Recent MythNetVision Information?

Thanks for the info. I was kind of afraid of that answer. Unfortunately, I don't think I could help much.

Recent MythNetVision Information?

I'm trying to setup MythNetVision on my Ubuntu 16.04 Mythtv to see what I can stream from the internet. I only find posts from many years ago as I try to troubleshoot my installation. I can search YouTube videos just fine, but nothing else. I have selected tree view, but don't seem to get any result...

Re: Channel Lineup, HDHomeRun, Schedules Direct, Comcast

Well, I don't think so, but...

I think it comes down to Comcast publishing lineup one way that Schedules Direct captures, but Comcast sends us a different lineup.

Re: Channel Lineup, HDHomeRun, Schedules Direct, Comcast

That's where I started - Reporting it to Schedules Direct. They initially claimed it was my problem (my MythTV config). I called Comcast and they confirmed that the way I am receiving the lineup is correct. I went back to Schedules Direct and "announced" that I did not have the problem, so SD opened...

Re: Channel Lineup, HDHomeRun, Schedules Direct, Comcast

OK - So I went back into the channel editor, swapped the XMLID's, ran mythfilldatabase and now the guide data matches what the channel is displaying. I'm not sure if I did not run mythfilldatabase before or not. This didn't work before, but now it seems "fixed". This hacks the problem. The problem i...

Re: Channel Lineup, HDHomeRun, Schedules Direct, Comcast

Thanks John, I have already tried your idea: swapping XMLID's, but that didn't change anything. When I called Comcast, they said I am receiving the channels as I should, but when I check the channel lineup via their website, it is also reversed. I am checking with others with the same service to see...

Channel Lineup, HDHomeRun, Schedules Direct, Comcast

Hello, Our MythTV setup using HDHomeRun devices seemed to be running fine until recently. We have Comcast cable and, I think, a local TV station was sold and may have been required to make some affiliation changes. What we have now is channel 3 and 4 are mixed up. What I mean is that the Schedules D...

Re: Upgrading From Older MythTV/Ubuntu?

Further notes (Maybe just to myself) To allow remote frontend access to backend: edit /etc/mysql/my.cnf and comment out line- bind-address = 127.0.0.1 If backend needs restarted after reboot: edit /etc/init/mythtv-backend.conf and add a "sleep 5" before backend is exec. Current file now end like thi...

It is early - And maybe I just haven't found a problem yet. It's good that your main system is up and running.

Re: Upgrading From Older MythTV/Ubuntu?

Thanks again. I tried a one step upgrade from 0.24.0 to the latest via Ubuntu 14.04.1. Early indications are that all went well. After restoring database, I got the message that the database was 53 versions behind. Bringing the database forward took a few minutes, but I now have a working updated sy...

Re: Upgrading From Older MythTV/Ubuntu?

I am planning on trying this weekend. I do have a new drive to try on, so it's just finding that window of no recordings to keep things running smooth.

Re: Upgrading From Older MythTV/Ubuntu?

Great! Thank you jksj.

I was afraid there would be database incompatiblities from one version to the other. I appreciate your time.
