Re: Daily mythfilldatabase update not running.

Use mythtv-setup to remove the --dd-grab-all argument. It isn't a valid option
in v31. It causes mythfilldatabase to exit with error code 132.

mythtv-setup: General -> Program Schedule Downloading Options -> Guide Data Arguements

MythTV logs are typically in /var/log/mythtv

Re: Schema issue on new Xubuntu 20 system using 31+fixes from mythbuntu

Check what version of MythTV were you running. The DB is updated automatically. But, as per the Release Notes, "v31 will only support direct upgrades from 0.22 or higher". 0.22 Release Notes are ca. 2009. Not sure how you got to schema 31. You don't need to build your own distro! Or even build MythT...

Re: Daily mythfilldatabase update not running.

Is the grabber set to the one you choose? Check the path to mythfilldatabase. These commands will print out what you've got or use mythtv-setup to check: mysql --user=mythtv --password --execute="SELECT sourceid, name, xmltvgrabber FROM videosource" mythconverg mysql --user=mythtv --password --execute...

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

The Schedules Direct lineup is no longer used with the grabber. No, that's notwhy they're skipped. It means the identifier (as before) isn't in the MythTV database, but the grabber is getting programs for it. The identifier in the above log snippet is I100147.json.schedulesdirect.org. To skip channe...

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

When you tried to edit the file, were you user mythtv? If yes, then what does
this command return: echo $HOME . If not, then become the mythtv user as
you have done before.

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

Yes, Multinational (Schedules Direct JSON web services with SQLite....) and tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite --manage-lineups --config-file $HOME/ master /.mythtv/SD.xmltv are for the SQLite version. The Wiki doesn't mention using master in the path to the config file, it should look like this: --config-fil...

Re: Moving 0.29 Backend to new host

A QUERY_REMOTEENCODER message has been sent to the backend via Myth Protocol and the encoder (cardid) isn't known. Suggests it's still in the memory or the DB (somewhere) or the BE hasn't been restarted since it was changed. Although the PID in the above is different from the earlier message, it was...

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

I agree that the above works, tested using hard links myself. But strongly disagree on the solution. The intent is to have a single setup/use method to an already tough change for some. Those who understand other solutions are welcome to use them. Like we could stop them ;). Always run MFDB manually...

Re: Moving 0.29 Backend to new host

Tuner pooling in MythTV wasn't available 'til v30. mythbackend expects to have exclusive use all tuners. You can Get around this by setting the Schedule Order and Live TV order to 0 on one host and on another host, set the opposite tuners to non-zero values. Or, just don't run both hosts at the same...

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

That's just my system. From your initial post, SD is the name of your source and that's how the file name in ~/.mythtv is developed (source name + .xmltv). See https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/XMLTV#Channel_selection_shortcut_2 . Or, near end of the section, you can see SQL examples. You can put the line...

Re: Moving 0.29 Backend to new host

You can always start the backend and frontend with -v schedule to look for additional clues. The scheduler, naturally, needs to know about the tuners. Items in the logs may point the way. Not knowing what's been changed in the DB, backing up the current DB and reloading an old one may be the quickes...

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

I added color to my previous response in case someone else asks the same question about identifier . It's just the text used by the error message. Right, in the channel table, the column is xmltvid. Not that users need to access the DB directly. For example: $ sudo su - myhttv $ echo $HOME /home/myt...

Re: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1

Unknown xmltv channel identifier : I90202.json.schedulesdirect.org - Skipping channel is likely caused when the mythconverg DB doesn't have that identifier , but the grabber's DB does have the channel (xmltvid) and it is marked as selected. Set selected to 0 and the message should go away. The JustM...
