Re: Project ERROR: Unknown module(s) in QT: webkitwidgets

QtWebKit is only required for MythBrowser & MythNetVision plugins. If you don't need those, it's easier not to bother with it. That does require a little hacking of the configure script though. With CONFIG_QTWEBKIT=no the core code will build & run fine. I used to build against downloaded Qt version...

Re: Project ERROR: Unknown module(s) in QT: webkitwidgets

IMO the configure script doesn't work well with non-packaged versions of Qt.
In many places it uses pkg-config rather than the qmake that you supply on the command line.

Investigate configure around line 7556. I suspect CONFIG_QTWEBKIT is enabled because it's detecting your qt4 webkit.

Re: Mythtv misbehaving- please help!

That's just indicating that the backend isn't happy about something.
Please pastebin a backend log https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Posting_Logs
And confirm you're not low on disk-space.

Re: DVB Card - Can't open ...

I tried editing /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend and changing the line USER=mythtv to USER=root; this had no impact and the user was still mythtv upon a reboot Unless you've reconfigured it, 16.04 should be using Systemd https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Systemd_mythbackend_Configuration Look for a mythbackend...

Re: mythweb "Forget Old" fails

Dropping the database won't help. MythWeb is just sending an outdated message to the backend. There are some devs who still use MythWeb but they don't seem to be 'back' from their Easter break yet... You could expedite a fix by capturing the errant message. 1. Turn on logging of the running backend ...

Re: Filter out duplicate concurrent programmes

I think your diagnosis is dubious. The scheduler does match duplicates against upcoming recordings. What I see is 1 recording is marked 'will record' and the following duplicates are marked as 'earlier recording', even if they start before the recording has finished. If the recording succeeds then t...

Re: Could not play old recordings after upgrade

That error is coming from the backend's websocket, which is used mainly by the Web Frontend. I believe it's hard-coded to port 6549 but it may have moved around between releases. It may not have even existed in 0.26 AFAIK the Kodi Plugin doesn't use it - it uses the Services API (port 6544) & intern...

Re: Missing "watch this channel" option from the program gui

Mark actually raised it on the users list https://lists.gt.net/mythtv/users/607729

I forgot to reply before I lost the thread, but if Mark raises a feature ticket with his patch I'll add my comments there.
In summary: I think just adding "Watch" to the popup dialog is the way to go.

Re: New MythTV theme: Monochrome

It's very good. I noticed an issue with v2.90 on the Images (New) thumbnail screen. There's a dialog box permanently shown. On screen entry it descends, bounces but then remains on view, only disappearing when exiting to main menu or to a slideshow. It is empty and doesn't have focus but obscures th...

and got the same (or VERY close) scan results from both tuners Channels are attached to the (single) video source, so you should only need to scan from one tuner; other tuners using the same video source will get them automatically. However, it shouldn't cause any problems. Firstly, check it's miss...

Re: JumpToProgram's OpenFile failed [[ SOLVED ]]

Yes. It should appear if you have free tuners that are attached to the 'Video Source' containing the channel. So misconfigured video sources can prevent it. I assume (mythtv-setup): - You've only one video source & both tuners are attached to it. - You're only using EIT - Channel scanning worked (re...

Re: JumpToProgram's OpenFile failed [[ SOLVED ]]

mythtv-setup tends to use 'D' key for delete, 'E' key for edit etc.
Generally linux is fine with whitespace in filenames. That's just some old Myth code.
