Re: [0.26] Commercial Skipping

I suspect it's failing because of logfile permissions. That was directed at nick-au on his Debian system. abennetts: Not sure about 0.25 Mythbuntu OTOH, but if you have an existing logfile: -rw-r--r-- 1 syslog adm 273151 Sep 28 17:35 /var/log/mythtv/mythcommflag.log and your syslogging contains a l...

Re: [0.26] Commercial Skipping

I suspect it's failing because of logfile permissions. As the wiki states, it's designed/tested with Mythbuntu's default rsyslog configuration, ie. it prepends "mythcommflag" to its log output so that rsyslog will route it to the mythcommflag.log that is created on Mythtv installation. If that fails...

Re: Some EIT guide data missing

E DVBRead mpeg/mpegstreamdata.cpp:362 (AssemblePSIP) Error: offset>181, pes length & current cannot be queried I haven't seen a definitive explanation of this error but it's indicative that the tuner is having trouble decoding the signal. A few aren't unusual/significant but reams of them is troubl...

Re: Duplicate Check method enhancement....

The website "BBC HD"/cbbV doesn't work for me either - I think it's the wrong code. I don't use HD but it doesn't match anything from grep -e BBC.*HD ~/.xmltv/supplement/tv_grab_uk_atlas/tv_grab_uk_atlas.map.channels.conf Yes: just copy/link/rename the tv_grab_uk_atlas.conf to ~mythtv/.mythtv/Video_...

Re: Some EIT guide data missing

Apart from truTV+1 that looks like your first 3 muxes are missing. http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SK503435 I presume there's no significant errors (crashed database tables) in the backend log and that you have EIT enabled for all of those channels - rescanning won't change that. There was a lon...

Re: Recordings order mythtv 0.27

No, it just depends on which "Menu Theme" you're using (set by Setup / Appearance ).

Those directions were for the DVR & Classic themes. For the Default theme the same pages are at Setup / Video / Playback.

Re: Remote frontend can't access backend MySQL

Oh, I see what you mean! It fails silently if it can't find the recording. Could it be a UTC issue? ie, you've upgraded from pre-0.26 and you're not using %STARTTIMEUTC% in your user job. Seems to me the wiki is out of date... When you run manually what starttime do you enter ? Where do you get it f...

Re: Recordings order mythtv 0.27

MythFrontend Setup/ TV settings / Playback / View Recordings (4/8)

Sort Episodes: Use "Record Date"
Episode Sort Orderings: "Multi-titles Ascending" will show oldest at top on "All Programmes" & "WatchList" groups, "Sub-titles Ascending" will show oldest at top for the program groups.

Re: Remote frontend can't access backend MySQL

I'm not familiar with mythlink but it's most likely your logfile permissions. However Myth logging can't tell you any more about it. There are 2 statuses at play here. 1. Backend status: Myth can find the script, execute it and it terminates with a 0 exit status. Therefore it ran successfully and My...

Re: Remote frontend can't access backend MySQL

MythTV gives me nothing to go on to diagnose the problem Myth has extensive logging available - see "mythfrontend -v help" Try: mythfrontend -v general, database, network --loglevel debug on the frontend to check that it is configured correctly and doing what you expect. And you can get detailed My...

Re: Duplicate Check method enhancement....

Yes, the ProgIds are compatible - your duplicate matching will still work. They're actually generated by Myth from the title/subtitle/season/episode I believe. There may be the odd hiccup because I think the RT grabber used to clean up some title/subtitles ("fix-ups") whereas the Atlas one will not ...

Re: Duplicate Check method enhancement....

The first Program Id (4-seven) is a CRID coming out of EIT data; the second (C4) is a Myth-generated id from XML guide data. That also explains why the descriptions are different. If you're intentionally mixing EIT & XML then Myth will always consider the 2 channels to be broadcasting different prog...
