Re: custom action on delete of video

The Job Queue and Event System are set up similarly, but their string substitutions are not entirely identical. Here is the page describing the Job Queue.

Re: custom action on delete of video

Are you creating these links using some script of your own making, or are you using mythlink.pl? Normally, if one uses mythlink.pl as an event script (not a user job script), they still run mythlink.pl periodically through cron to flush all the stale links out. You could create another event script ...

Re: How to Link/rename recordings use metadata?

Mythlink.pl is still the correct script, however it has not yet been updated to support the new season/episode fields. It is worth noting that those fields are typically not found in the original guide data, and only available after the recording.

Re: Mythfilldatabase runs with error code 13

Code 13 is simply the exit code from the XMLTV grabber. It's meaning is arbitrary, and does not necessarily follow any system standard behavior. I can't seem to find any standard error code behavior defined for general XMLTV grabbers either. You may need to read through the script in question to det...

Do you mean some package tried to create a symlink in the wrong location when it installed?

Re: First time install help

You can only retrieve a lineup from Schedules Direct when using analog television (or anything that looks like analog, like capture from a cable box, or a cablecard tuner). For digital television, you will need to scan for channels. MythTV will attempt to match up scanned channels with channels in y...

Re: Using mythtv online and offline

If you have a static IP, then there should be no problem. Is it a static IP through something like NetworkManager, that only applies the address to the interface while the interface is actually connected?

Re: Using mythtv online and offline

For now, leave your router on and just turn off your modem, or configure your machine with a static IP instead of using DHCP.

There is no IMDB information to add. IMDB does not allow online API access. They only offer offline access with a text-only database download.

You could set up a dynamic domain, and open a port for the web server.

Re: TitanTV for remote scheduling?

Note that that script only handles local scheduling, where your backend is accessible directly over the network. Proper remote scheduling requires that one become a "TitanTV Partner", and periodically poll their SOAP interface. The script linked above was something written quickly upon a user reques...
