Re: Drive Storage Group Allocation

A simple setup is to use one disk for OS, database and static video files (or recordings you decided to keep and moved there with a custom user job). The other disk gets used for the active recordings and everything else. Just add a second "passive" recordings storage group on your OS disk. You avoi...

Re: Could 'record past end of show' always do so, please?

'Record past end of show' is (one) form of 'soft padding', which is only applied if the tuner is not required for other things. Well then there's a bug in that the padding doesn't always happen when the tuner is not required elsewhere, e.g. when recording consecutive programs on a single channel as...

Re: DD max S8 TV-karte

Re: Is this a sane configuration?

The principle is: if configure didn't fail then its ok :)
(If you want to use CEC the missing libCEC support might spoil the fun, but its not needed to build and run MythTV.)

Re: IPTV fails for UDP

Just to clarify, 192.168.0.84 is the IP address of the "IPTV card" or the MythTV backend? I'm not sure we already support directed unicast UDP streaming to the backend. (If its the IP address of the backend) Searching for " lkv373a linux " hints these devices usually stream MPEG2-TS to a multicast g...

there is no channel number in this playlist, which is a format that is not (yet) supported.
Download the M3U playlist locally and rewrite it so it says "#EXTINF:-1,1 - Rai 1 HD" etc.
Here is another example for channel number 300, called NASA TV

Code: Select all

#EXTINF:0,300 - NASA TV

Re: frontend capable to play HEVC (H.265) content

I started to collect information about small ARM Systems on our wiki . (feel free to update with newer information) Some of the newer ARM Systems are marketed with support for HEVC, but only up to 1080p30, others are marketed with support for 1080p60 or 4Kp60. (the new german DVB-T broadcasts are 10...

See #10098. Improvements to the EIT fixups for Australia are welcome. We like patches with unit tests best, but can work from less.

Re: how can I force fanart/metadata on local news recordings

We do not currently support multiple metadata sources for series. Is "daily local news" just an example? Because that appears to be perfectly valid on thetvdb.com. Their 'news' genre got to be good for something after all :)

Basic support for stereoscopic videos was added but never received polishing. You should be able to do what you want with the OpenGL renderer. See [18976c4b137aeeb264e2857ddc4851eef530024e].
