Re: After rescan, mythfrontend now segfaults

That version is from Tue Jun 16 17:03:30 2015 so I'm sorry to say I don't think you are going to get much help with that since there have been so many changes since then any one of them could have already fixed this. The only thing I would suggest is try disabling interactive tv I seem to remember t...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

The fix is now committed to fixes/30, fixes/31 and master.

Don't know how arch users will get the fix if they are using the AUR package since it's appears to be using the github tar.gz from the 30.0 release and not using the latest from the fixes/30 branch.

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

Great thanks for testing. I'll double check it's not going to break anything and probably commit it later this evening.

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

Added a patch to the ticket that should fix this. Can someone who can reproduce this please test it. I've briefly tested it to make sure the browser still works that's all.

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

Note: Manjaro is a rolling release so there is no current distribution problems as along as you keep it updated {$ yay -Syu} That funny. You do realise that the version of MythTV in the AUR is over a year old (Jan 14, 2019 to be exact) :!: Maybe I'm not making myself clear or maybe no one is ...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

It's not a plugin it's the MythUIWebBrowser widget. Some themes have a base definition for it in base.xml which creates an instance of it in the global store which is then used to create inherited UI widgets. That's nothing out of the ordinary all widgets defined in a base.xml work this way. The dif...

Re: Help! "No Recordings available, or screen loading..."

This usually happens when the currently selected Filter or Group doesn't have any recordings If you are talking about already recorded recordings then doing a channel scan won't help. It could be caused by a corrupt DB so optimizing the database could help but the most common answer is the filter se...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

I tried to reproduce this on Arch Manjaro both the KDE and XFCE version and couldn't. Tried both master and the AUR version (30.0 IIRC?) both worked fine although I was running under VirtualBox which could affect things. Only official themes are installed in /usr/share/mythtv/themes (default, defaul...

Since you are a new member you may not be able to send PM's until you have posted a few messages. It's a precaution to prevent spammers creating new accounts just to sent spam. You need to s...

Re: Who fancies a video Advent Calendar exclusively for MythTV users?

As you might be aware I was a prolific creator of themes for mythtv back in the day (til I burned out). Of cause I remember you one of the original three theming musketeers Justin H., Stuart M. and Robert M. :D You did a few of the intro video's for MythArchive for me. It's sad that mythUI developm...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

And if you move the mouse over the white rectangle and press the right mouse button do you get a menu with a 'Reload' option?

The size and position looks like the default size of the "basewebbrowser" in MythCenter-wide

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

I tried to install Arch in VirtualBox so I could test this but gave up in frustration, I've been spoiled using Ubuntu for to long to mess with this s**t :o (this is coming from someone who used to maintain several systems running Gentoo  ) Anyway I'm convinced this is caused by the MythUIWebBr...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

Are you using Qt 5.14? See trac ticket #13544

One of the comments on the Archlinux bug report mentions when you press the right mouse button a menu with a reload option pops up which seems to suggest a Webkit browser window is being displayed somehow :?

Re: Good remotes?

I've used these universal remotes on a couple of systems https://www.mythqml.net/remote-install.php

They can control up to four devices. Not perfect but reasonably cheap and One-For-All are a good make so hopefully should be a little more robust than the cheap but crap Chinese remotes you can get.

Re: Programatically exit mythfrontend?

One way would be to use the frontend network interface to send the relevant key presses.

Code: Select all

$ nc localhost 6546
MythFrontend Network Control
Type 'help' for usage information
---------------------------------
# jump mainmenu
OK
# key escape
OK
# quit
$
