Re: Black Screen - openglvaapi - HD5500 Broadwell

This was a known bug that was fixed just over a week ago in the development version, the fix should be backported to 0.27-fixes soon.

Re: A half a TB of deleted recordings still taking up space?

Do you actually need "slow deletes"? This was a compromise option for crappy filesystems that would tend to lock up if you deleted large files. On filesystems which don't have this limitation it does more harm than good. You can configure how long to keep deleted recordings before they are removed i...

Re: Missed Recordings

In almost every case the cause of failed recordings are hardware/driver failures and outside the control of MythTV. We might be able to suggest ways to eliminate the problem if you can tell us what tuner hardware you are using. As an example, a lot of 'dual' tuner devices tend to fail much more ofte...

Re: 0.28 Backend Web Interface Credentials

They are presently hard coded as 'admin' with a p/w of 'mythtv'. Sometime well before the release this will change to username/password combination chosen during mythtv setup The presently passworded areas are mainly an older, incomplete project to allow configuration of MythTV through the web inter...

Re: Increased CPU usage on certain channels Kodi/Mythtv

You'd be better off asking through the Kodi support channels, we could help if you were using MythTV for playback, but Kodi is an entirely different project run by different people. We can't even begin to speculate on why their application behaves the way you describe.

Master/0.28 is moving to QT 5.2

Within the next couple of weeks we will be switching the minimum QT version from 4.8 to 5.2* QT 4 goes End of Life at the end of this year and so we want our next release, the one users will be using past this deadline to be built on QT 5. Having access to some of the features of QT 5 is also a nice...

Re: TBS6280: Poor SNR when tuned to HD channels

There are a couple of things to consider. [*]A poor quality aerial, wrong type or simply in a bad condition; low quality coaxial cabling (no shielding) - all may give a high signal strength but a low signal quality. If you are using any signal splitters, try removing them. If the cable has insuffici...

Re: How do you build MythTV version 27 with QT5 on Debian Li

Scheduling is one of those things that won't work correctly, which means no recordings.

It's also likely to crash immediately upon startup without fixes which have been applied to 0.28

Re: One show occasionally not recording

When you say it does not record, do you mean it doesn't appear in the list of upcoming recordings OR that the recording fails ? The former may be because it's marked as a duplicate/repeat by the guide data (programid), or that the title of the programme doesn't exactly match what you scheduled. The ...

Re: High CPU usage in mythfrontend.real

You can disable the theme update check in the "Theme Chooser" screen. Press MENU, then select "Disable Theme Update Notifications". This should resolve the issue until we can discover why the http code goes into a tight loop during the check for some people.

Re: MythFillDatabase segmentation fault

Also, it seems odd that this bug apparently affects a few OS X users but many of us never see it. Well that's why I suggested the exact version of OS X may also be related. It's nearly impossible to crash on a QString unless it's being accessed from another thread to the one in which it was created...
