Re: Recommendation

More BS than what's in a stuffed turkey for that antenna. http://www.amazon.com/Mohu-amplified-attic-outdoor-antenna/product-reviews/B00AVWKUXE/ref=cm_cr_dp_qt_hist_one?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addOneStar&showViewpoints=0 If you want a good antenna, and you don't need any low VHF channels, it's hard to beat...

Re: Universal remote control devices

I've been using the default cable mode of the RCA cable remote for a number of years. It's cheap and all buttons are active in that mode which give you lots of control. If you need an lircd.conf and/or an lircrc file for it I can post it. I tried to submit it to the lirc source, but they won't put i...

Re: Commercial flagging recording rules

Thanks. I don't know how I missed that. I just never saw it. And i'd been searching in all the setup menus off and on for weeks. I actually looked at the recording rule prior to this post and still didn't see the Default (template).

Commercial flagging recording rules

0.27.3
Where can I change the default recording rules. Default has commercial flagging and metadata lookup enabled. I want the default to be disabled. I can't find where to change this in any of the setup menus.

Re: Back to back recordings with buffer = conflict

It did exactly what you told it to do. It started recording the first and when it came time for recording the second it used the next available tuner since the first was busy. If you want it to record back to back programs on the same channel with an overlap using only tuner, just set the first prog...

Press the 'm' key on the keyboard to get to the menu of the videos section, or any other section you happen to be in and it will display the menu for that section.

Re: Going to try mythTV

All of my systems are AMD with Nvidia GF8200 on board graphics. My backend server has an old Phenom II 805 in it with 4Gb ram, a 400Gb system drive and 2 750Gb drives in a raid0 config for a total of 1.7TB of storage. I rarely use more than 10% of it. I've got 3 pcie dual tuner cards in it for 6 tun...

Re: Missing OTA Channel

there are 5 channels in Portland that claim 49-1 as the display channel on 5 other real channels, and others on real channel 49. Weird.

A channel scan should have advised of this and offered different numbers for each. Do another channel scan and see what you get.

Music started working with a software update about a week ago. Maybe a pre-release? I do recall seeing at least one update file for mythmusic. Also got obe for mythgallery, but not working yet.

Image Gallery

Version 0.27.3. I just upgraded from a very old version that if I wanted support for music, videos, and pictures from the BE to remote frontends I had to set up nsf shares for them to work. Now with 0.27.3 videos and music work without doing that, but the image gallery doesn't. It just looks at loca...

Re: Building my first HTPC under OSX or Linux. Need advice.

if the broadcast signal is atsc up there, any compatible atsc tuner will work. I've got 3 Dvico Fusion HDTV7 Dual tuners in my backend server and they work great. I usually don't record more than 4 shows at once but have had 6 going at once a few times. I don't have a clue about OSX. I just loaded M...

Re: Mythtv on Ubuntu: Auto Shutdown problem

I think it has to be /sbin/shutdown in the sudoers file. This also might work. I haven't looked at it. /usr/bin/mythshutdown .
