I also stopped using LIRC with my IR remote. Whichever solution you end up using, consider determining if the sites you use most often have a 10-ft user interface option like the one listed here for YouTube.

Post one was edited to remove the requirement for changing the MythTV xmltvid values. With the latest version, changing the MythTV xmltvid values is optional.

Lines 177 through 182 in hdhrepg2myth.py erases the guide data for all channels, and no images are stored.
