Re: Remote as mouse? More control with the IR remote...

I also stopped using LIRC with my IR remote. Whichever solution you end up using, consider determining if the sites you use most often have a 10-ft user interface option like the one listed here for YouTube.

Save Money on Your Cable Bill by Using MythTV

You can get a discount on your cable bill if you use your own CableCARD enabled device instead of using a set-top box or DVR from the cable company. Federal Communications Commission Rule 76.1205(b)(5) requires that your cable company must give you a discount on any packages that include the price o...

Re: Looking for recomendation

I agree with the comment above about SiliconDust's products. I have never used a SiliconDust OTA tuner, but my SiliconDust HomeRun Prime works great. Greg - As you may already know, your ability to watch HBO with Myth using a cablecard tuner is rare. Comcast does not have a copy freely flag set for ...

Re: Add MythTV Menu Button That Launches YouTube

Some quick notes showing the steps I used to get this working with Intel graphics are below. I verified hardware acceleration is working with a NUC having a 6th generation Intel Core i5-6260U processor and Intel Iris 540 graphics. Update the Intel graphics driver using the update tool from Intel. Th...

Post one was edited to remove the requirement for changing the MythTV xmltvid values. With the latest version, changing the MythTV xmltvid values is optional.

bonelifer- Thanks for your response. I agree that Schedules Direct is a great option. I sent an email to Silicondust and posted on the Silicondust forum as shown in the attached screenshot, but I did not receive a reply. Mythrecmaze: Automatically record the TV shows you follow on TVmaze.com https://github.com/heyted/mythrecmaze The version on GitHub requires not using the guide service you currently use, which is too drastic for most people. I have a version of the program that I have not put on GitHub yet that doe...
