Re: Segmentation fault with optimize_mythdb.pl

Thanks again for the assistance bill6502. I've now noticed that the results of my cronjob that runs optimize_mythdb.pl daily doesn't have a segmentation fault line at the bottom. I originally noticed at the last line of the cronjob results so that seems to make me think it's resolved. I still get th...

Re: Segmentation fault with optimize_mythdb.pl

Thanks for the reply bill6502.

I am able to run that command without a segmentation fault or any other errors, but even after having just successfully running that specific command I still get the same segmentation error when trying to run optimize_mythdb.pl.

Vaska.

Segmentation fault with optimize_mythdb.pl

Hi, optimize_mythdb.pl segfaults after or on the filemarkup table. Here's what the end of running optimize_mythdb.pl looks like for me. Repaired/Optimized: `mythconverg`.`weatherdatalayout` Analyzed: `mythconverg`.`weatherdatalayout` Repaired/Optimized: `mythconverg`.`weatherscreens` Analyzed: `myth...

Re: Mythfilldatabase Using Unencrypted Authentication?

Looks like the new JSON grabber isn't supported by the MythTV team. Despite this, are many people using it? Without any issues? ---From the Notes section of https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Schedules_Direct--- There is a Schedules Direct grabber available which uses an alternate JSON feed. This grabber i...

Mythfilldatabase Using Unencrypted Authentication?

Hi, I deployed an IDS system on my network and it has identified Mythfilldatabase's traffic as one that is using an outgoing unencrypted form of authentication for SchedulesDirect. Is this the case? Would it be possible to encrypt this traffic using SSL instead? Timestamp: 2018-04-29T17:34:35.836877...

Donating to MythTV?

Hi, I've been a very long time user of MythTV and I can't imagine life without it. I'm not a programmer and haven't been able to contribute in any meaningful way, for which I'm feeling pretty guilty. Around this time of year I make a modest monetary donation to an organization I like and this year I...

Commercial Detection in Non-Recording Video Files?

Hi, Is it possible to flag commercials in videos files (non-recordings) and then enable commercial skip during playback of the flagged video files? I've tried using "mythcommflag -f /mnt/movies/somevideofile.ts" but I get "No program data exists for channel 0 at 20171026204645". The video files are ...

[SOLVED] Metadata Lookup Fails

Thanks again for the help on IRC bill6502. As described, I was able to fix the issue by emerging dev-python/requests-cache and dev-python/future.

[SOLVED] Metadata Lookup Fails

Hi - I'm having trouble with metadata lookups. Everything was working fine for me just last week. I’m running the latest 0.28-fixes branch (currently v0.28.1-45-g73cf7474ad) on Gentoo with both python 2.7 and 3.4 on the system (2.7 is the default). This is what happens when I try to run the lookup c...
