MythVideo playback profiles
Just trying to get MythVideo to work on version 30. It seems MythVideo isn't using the playback profile I've got set for recordings. Is there a different spot on the settings for this? My videos used to work fine in 0.29 on this machine and they work fine using Kodi on this machine as well. Thanks

Re: PVR-150 low volume after upgrade to MythTV 29
Running the following on the command line fixes the current recording but it reverts back on new recordings.
v4l2-ctl --set-ctrl=volume=63500 -d /dev/video0
I could put it in my channel change script but this seems like a hack. Any other ideas?

Re: PVR-150 low volume after upgrade to MythTV 29
I just looked at the wiki and found this page. https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Setup_Recording_Profiles Looks like this doesn't match version 29. If you look at the IVTV MPEG-2 Encoders section it talks about Audio Quality settings. The only setting that's left in Myth 29 is the codec. Any idea where th...

Re: PVR-150 low volume after upgrade to MythTV 29
It's the recordings themselves that have low volume, not the playback from the frontend. One recording was when the backend was at 0.28 and the audio is "loud". The other recording was after the upgrade, so version 29 and the audio is low. I could play them with a different media player and see the ...

PVR-150 low volume after upgrade to MythTV 29
I just upgraded to MythTV 29 from 0.28 on my system and my parents system both running Mythbuntu 16.04. I used the Mythbuntu PPA to do the upgrade. Both have PVR-150's recording off a satellite box. Since the upgrade the volume level in the recordings are all really low. I thought it may have been s...

Re: Mythcommflag and standard def
This has now been fixed with this commit. https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/commit/a1096aa9fa4177a66a0cc45196c9e8179944efbd Since my servers were all running 32-bit versions of Mythbuntu this was my problem. Big thanks to Helen for finding this. The mailing list thread is here. http://www.gossamer-th...

Re: Mythcommflag and standard def
I was able to turn on logging for mythcommflag. I now have two logs, one for an HD (good) recording and one of an SD (bad) recording.

Just wondering if anyone can take a look and offer an opinion.
Thanks

[SOLVED] Mythcommflag and standard def
I can't seem to get mythcommflag to find any commercial breaks with standard def content any more. I believe it last worked on Myth 0.24. I'm on Mythbuntu 14.04 with MythTV 0.27-fixes. I've got three different setups that all do the same thing. Two of those setups have HDHomeruns and a PVR150 and on...

Re: System time question
I guess my cable provider is wrong then. The show content definitely matches the time on the set top box, not my myth box. I use mythweb to configure all my recordings. I don't seem to see a "start late" setting for recordings. Am I just missing it? If there is an option like that, how do I make sur...

Re: System time question
I agree, most set top boxes I've used with Myth haven't had a problem with time. This one seems to be off by one minute. So Myth starts recording a show at say 10:00am but the time on the set top box says 9:59am. Then the show ends at 10:30am in myth but the set top box is only at 10:29am. So Myth r...

System time question
The time on my myth box doesn't match the time on my set top box. The myth box is using NTP so I don't really want to change that. Is there a way to start all programs x minutes early and end them x minutes early too? I know you can start early and end late but I don't want the scheduler to have to ...
