Re: Backend suggestions

If you have a motherboard only supporting PCI, then I suggest you look at USB or network based tuners instead. Most of the PCI-e based cards are really a PCI-e to USB bridge, with the usb tuners on the other side.

Re: Unable to compile the latest fixes 0.27.5, please help.

I lied. It compiles with --enable-libx264 --enable-mp3lame Not with --compile-type=debug --enable-libx264 --enable-mp3lame --disable-firewire --disable-ceton --disable-v4l2 --disable-ivtv --disable-hdpvr --disabel-dvb It's compiled fine for me here with `--compile-type=debug --enable-libx264 --enab...

Re: HLS might be broken in 0.27.4?

Hmm, since the bug doesn't exist in master, that means we've fixed it, but I can't see a commit which is expressly designed to resolve this. Could you do some tests on a few different versions within master? I'd start with the list of commits to ringbuffer.cpp and see in which of those the problem o...

Re: What is the best , lowest power draw system to run MythT

I'm quite partial to HP microservers for the backend. In the UK they keep doing promotions on them, so you can pick them up for around £120 after cashback

0.27.5 Released

Hi,

I've tagged 0.27.5 as there have been a few issues resolved post 0.27.4 that already have fixes, but not in a tagged release. A summary of what changed can be found here http://lists.mythtv.org/pipermail/mytht ... 08552.html

Cheers

Re: Strange issue accessing www.mythtv.org website.

Hi Jon, This is extremely odd, this forum is hosted on the exact same server using the exact same software and there is no isp blocking going on. www.mythtv.org is a pretty simple site. It shouldn't be the SSL as both forum and www use the same cert. Can you get to lists.mythtv.org okay? That's a no...

Re: transcoding to remove cut list

Check what the high profile is configured to do. I've reconfigured mine to be "lossless" which is what you want. Note that currently only content in mpeg2 is suitable for lossless transcoding, we've not had a chance to implement it for any of the other codecs

Re: Resizing a mythbuntu backend

The general set of steps for resizing a lun are as follows - resize LUN - resize the partition - kpartx, partprobe or reboot to pickup new partitions - if the partition is used by LVM as a PV, pvresize <device> - resize the VG using that PV - resize the LV in that VG - resize the filesystem. Essenti...

Re: Mixed freeview/freesat won't schedule any recordings

Do you have each type of input (DVB-T vs DVB-S/S2) setup with it's own datasource? You can't share the same data source between the two as the channel lineup is different. I run a setup with both freeview and freesat, and have no issues (although same as you there is only now/next for certain channe...
