Re: Troubleshooting "Watch Recordings" performance

I just got 3.8.0-37-generic on my ID80 and the Watch Recordings screen performance issue is gone! Yup! I can confirm that with 3.8.0-37 that my watch recordings screen is significantly more responsive. I also tried to upgrade to the 334.21 nvidia drivers, but it crashes mythfrontend, so I'm running...

Re: mythbackend 107% CPU 5 minutes after starting

Do you get constant streams of these errors?

"2014-03-15 11:01:05.897 PESPacket: Failed CRC check 0x9b030105 != 0xec357263 for StreamID = 0x70"

Just printing these log messages will hammer you system
I note you are on 0.23, i'm fairly sure we've put code into newer releases to not be so verbose

Why are you using 0.25? 0.27 is current?

Re: Safari 5.1.10 unfriendly change?

Nope that was the only change and it's next to impossible to inadvertently change something. I also get odd patches of connectivitiy issues with chrome that go away after a while. No idea what it is yet, still trying to get to the bottom of it

Re: Mythfrontend crashes with nvidia drivers 334.21

The problem is we were blindly doing dynamic loading of libGLESv2 if it existed and trying to use it, even if we had opengles disabled. There is a possibiilty that there are bugs in the initial implementation of libGLESv2, but we should not have been using it just because it's there.

Re: MYSQL hammers HDD on backend startup

Code: Select all

mysql> show full processlist\g
the output is messy because the format modifier for mysql is '\G' not '\g'
