Re: storage directory issue

we were all new once. easiest way is to install gparted. you can search the software center or use sudo apt-get install gparted In gparted select your device right click the partition on the drive select unmount (you can skip this step if the drive is already unmounted). Then right click the partiti...

Re: storage directory issue

its sdb1 above, the letter after sd is the physical disk(sda is usually the boot drive) and the number is the partition.
you are correct that you want C63F-B6FE.
Since the drive is formated as vfat. you may want to reformat the drive to ext4 for preformance and reliability.

Re: storage directory issue

apparently in 16.04 blkid needs sudo(runs command as root/administrator) sudo blkid you can use the mkdir command in the terminal example: sudo mkdir /media/storage/recordings/ or use a file manager(similar to how you would in windows) just make sure you run the chown(sets ownership of files/folders...

Re: storage directory issue

did you setup the drive to be mounted at boot or is it being auto mounted? are you trying to use the mount point as the storage directory? do the folders for the storage group(s) already exist? are permissions set so that the mythtv user can read/write to the directory's?

Re: Is 60Hz Better Than 30Hz?

60hz will help smooth out fast moving and 60fps content. it may help with some of the noise around the edges and being able to use higher quality deinterlacing should also help. Is it more noticeable on 1080i or 720p? Why VDPAU on 1080i and Opengl on 720p? Have you tried changing your display settin...

Re: User job arguement %RECTYPE% in user jobs

if you look in https://code.mythtv.org/trac/browser/my ... ingtypes.h(lines 19-32). witch the %RECTYPE% references on the page you linked you will see that it is for recording schedules. So the likely reason it is consistent is you only tend to set a movie to record once.

Re: User job arguement %RECTYPE% in user jobs

You're looking for Category or CatType not RecType. they will return "series" or "movie" ect and not the bool value you are looking for. you also need guide data that provides the actual category data.

The [mpeg2video @ 0x10c9de0] lines show that the recording is damaged, is there any audio on the spanish stream? try mythtranscode --honorcutlist --showprogress -m -e ts -v all --chanid 2501 --starttime 20151021103000 -o /tmp/2501_20151021063000-1.mpg this will force lossless transcode(-m) to an mpe...

using a transcoding script seems a bit excessive for only deinterlacing.so i threw this together #!/usr/bin/env python #MythTV deinterlacing script - by daraden #usage /path to script/script.py --jobid %JOBID% from MythTV import Job, Recorded, System, MythDB, findfile, datetime import argparse impor...
