Re: HDMI Video Card Recomendation Needed

a gt/gtx 600 series or better should get you acceptable playback with advanced 2x deinterlacing for 1080i content.
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/VDPAU should help give you a better idea of what to look for

Re: Need to get MythTV setup quick

I'm fairly sure its an authentication issue, since I did the same setup except with win 10 home and its working. try adding the domain name to the user name. username=Domain/username //192.168.1.123/Recorded\040TV/ /media/server/ cifs _netdev,username=Domain/windowsUsername,password=windowspassword,...

Re: Need to get MythTV setup quick

It does not show up as 4TB in gparted. The BIOS also doesn't show 4TB. Worked fine in the last machine I had it in though. if it is not recognized as 4tb its probably a bios/controller issue. It says "no such file or directory". Command only works when I remove mythtv:mythtv, but how does it know w...

Re: Need to get MythTV setup quick

1. in gparted is the drive recognized as 4tb? in gparted the process should go select device /dev/sdb/ (this should be your secondary drive, hopefully recognized as 4tb) > select device and then create partition table select gpt from the list and press apply( you will need to remove any partitions b...

Re: Need to get MythTV setup quick

1. did you set the drive to gpt partition table instead of mbr? 2. what is your mount config in fstab? did you sudo your commands? you need to add -R to your commands to set permissions for the sub-directory's and any files 3. backend setup > channel editor > icon download 4a. this step could be acc...

Re: Choices for Recording Profile and Transcoder

what tuner are you using? you are looking for https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Setup_Recording_Profiles depending on the tuner you use you may not need or have any settings to change. digital tuners just copy the incoming data so there is no need to configure for a specific resolution. you will want to m...

Re: deinterlacing help

it should be deinterlacing with the highlighted option. you can try others to see if the quality changes. If the deinterlacer is not working you would see wavy lines or other visual artifacts. in your case though you may not see any issue as your receiver or tv would deinterlace the content. the fps...

Re: deinterlacing help

No you are not deinterlacing 720p video, that would be impossible as deinterlacing is the process of converting an interlaced video stream (720i or 1080i) to a progressive stream (720p or 1080p).Generally the fps has little to nothing to do with deinterlacing. if you want to check and see if Myth is...

Re: mythtranscode error 128

mythtv version? what are the commands your script is using? im going to take a guess and assume you are using the --mpeg2 option. this option is for lossless cutting of mpeg2video files, the file you are trying to cut is h.264. for h.264 you will need to use fifo mode or look into one of the lossles...

Re: Can I manually edit a shows data

as far as i know there is no way to edit the guide data outside of directly editing the database. The problem with editing the database is if mythfilldatabase is run any time between the time you edit and the time it is recorded the data will likely be overwritten. The easier solution would be to ed...
