Re: Myth Shutdown Shortly After Waking

It looks like it was awake at 10:15 as it was supposed to. I suspect that you may have something in the GUI that is set to sleep on idle. You may need to disable the normal sleep on idle in the system (power manager settings or similar - set to never suspend).

Re: Automatic shutdown no longer working

The option of running commflag is set on the recording rule, or the job can be manually started from the recording list. To find what jobs are queued, got into frontend, information center, system status, jobqueue. To cancel a job go into the frontend, watch recordings, select a recording, press men...

Re: Automatic shutdown no longer working

I expect mythcommflag will take a long time if you do not have a powerful system. I recommend disabling mythcommflag in your recording rules.

Re: Automatic shutdown no longer working

The connected client could be a stuck job, for example metadata lookup. See if there are any other myth programs running. (ps -ef | grep myth). The metadata lookup does sometimes hang for a long time when it fails to get a response from the lookup site. You can disable metadata lookup by turning it ...

Re: Screen Setup Wizards cause FE to freeze

The black border is probably from the raspberry pi overscan settings. Edit the /boot/config.txt and set or uncomment disable_overscan=1 and comment out lines overscan_left, overscan_right, overscan_top and overscan_bottom. If this does not completely solve it you can comment the disable_overscan and...

Re: Schedules Direct and the lack of filling out S/E

There are instructions for converting to the SD JSON feed. It does not happen automatically. See the wiki here -
https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/XMLTV#Setup ... son_sqlite
Since that conversion I am getting season and episode info for everything.

Need to add --enable-libmp3lame to ./configure line if building from source. If using packaging/deb-light build system there is a bug see https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/13590

Mike
This has been fixed. Let me know if it is still causing a problem.

Re: Another question about Pi 4 as backend

Please bear in mind that the v0.27 version of MythTV for Raspberry Pi is unofficial, unsupported and has some bugs. The source code for v0.27 is not in the main MythTV repository. You need to use v30 or v31. Note also there are major changes in playback between v30 and v31.

Re: Master from source on Raspberry 4 4GB

I can see that mythtv-light was good to have when the RPi was not capable of running a combo FE/BE like the RPi4 is. I'm just curious if you are using an Rpi4B with 4GB of DRAM why you would need a Light version? The light version is still a full build of everything. What it excludes is setting up ...

You did not mention which theme you are using. I suggest trying another theme, for example Steppes, or the default, Mythcenter.

I suggest building the mythtv-light package and installing that. Instructions are here:

Re: Setup with tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite

Ste the xmltvid in MythTV, in the channel editor. If you have mythweb, you can also set them using that. Did they somehow get set automatically?

Re: Setup with tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite

For over the air channels, mythfilldatabase cannot insert into the database since it does not know the frequencies and other details needed for the channels. So for over the air you have to scan to get the channels setup, and then go in and manually set the xmltv id for each channel. Make sure you u...

Re: Building Mythtv from source on raspbian

You may want to take a look at https://github.com/MythTV/packaging/blo ... Readme.rst This documents building the mythtv-light packages including for raspberry pi and should be more up to date. I have not tried that on pi4, probably it will have the same issue with arch.

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

A search through the code shows that the web browser widget is only used in program details and in plugins. What happens if you move your cursor to a program name and press I or info? That should create a web browser and display the results there.Does that work and does it have any effect on the whi...
