[0.28+] Webfrontend channel editor export/import and other

Hi, I've taken a look at the new webfrontend and here is what i think could be improved: -Easier channel sorting(exporting/importing channel lists): make it possible to export the channel list(so you get a download with a file with channel names+video source), then sort it, and then upload it to web...

Re: Scroll unreadable text in mythfrontend

Is there a list of themes that support scrolling? And how can i find out who created a theme so i can contact the creator to add scrolling? I think text should only scroll when it's selected, this way it shouldn't be annoying. I think i'm using the terra theme but there are labels that don't even fi...

Scroll unreadable text in mythfrontend

Hi, there are buttons in mythfrontend where only parts of the text is visible, so sometimes it's not clear what a button does. So i think it would be nice if text that doesn't fit a button would scroll when it's selected. The same thing would also be nice for epg show description, so it's not necess...

Save .nfo files(containing epg data) next to recordings

Hi, i think it would be useful(in case your database fails and you have no backup or you just want to access recordings directly) if mythtv would save .nfo files next to the recordings(e.g. 12345678.mpg and 12345678.nfo. These .nfo files contain all the epg data. These files are not read by mythtv, ...

Re: Mythtv on btrfs filesystem?

I heard btrfs was considered stable by some dev(s) and opensuse adopted it as default rootfs, i didn't know the official statement is that it's still experimental. I thought snapshots would be nice, that's why i considered it. Oh yes, there is zfs for linux, but it will never me merged into the kern...

Mythlink.pl: Some links missing

Hi, mythlink.pl creates most links, but i noticed some links are missing, because i have at least one series that in mythfrontend displays more episodes than there are links created. One reason could be that there is a recording that is listed in frontend, but the .mpg file was deleted and this reco...

Easily (mass-)delete/move recordings in webinterface

Hi, i know the mythweb interface is in maintenance only mode, but for the integrated webserver that is being worked on could you please add an option to (mass-)move/delete recordings (checkboxes next to each recording and options to move/delete the selected recordings, just like in an email applicat...

Re: How to rescan/add/update/channel? What happens on rescan

It is sufficient to rescan you existing transports (assuming they don't add any). As for your recording rules, it depends on what type of rules you use. If you use "Record on any channel", "Find one showing" rules, they don't care what the channel is, so will continue to work. If you use "Record on...

Mythlink.pl: Recording links sometimes contain invalid chars

Hi, i have a problem with some of the links mythlink.pl creates. Sometimes(for chars like ß,ä,ü,) the filename doesn't contain the char but this sign: . When trying "convmv -f utf8 -t cp1250 $FILE" it says "this file was not validly encoded in UTF-8", so something must have gone wrong when creating...

Mythtv on btrfs filesystem?

Hi, i'd like to know if it's save to put the System(backend+mysql) and/or recordings on btrfs filesystems. I read that you should disable copy-on-write for mysql and that you need to change commit time for the btrfs filesystem holding the livetv recordings to 1 second(unless this issue with livetv w...

Re: Human-readable recording filenames

I don't see why that would take much work to get right? Simply replace everything non-ASCI with "_" and you're done, wouldn't that work? Wouldn't always look that pretty, but i think it would be still way better than numerical-only filenames. Well, getting it right is not so easy. Your solution is ...

Human-readable recording filenames

Hi, i think it would be nice if mythtv would save it's recordings in human-readable files(eg "title - date-time - subtitle"). This would take away the need to use mythlink.pl and it would be easier to recover your recordings in case your database gets corrupt/lost(hdd fails etc). Why were numeric fi...

How to rescan/add/update/channel? What happens on rescan?

Hi, i'd like to know what to do when a channel changes or a new channel is broadcasted? Do i have to do a full rescan or can i update/add a single channel? And if i have to do a full rescan, will my channel numbers and recording rules be preserved? And how is a rescan done? I suppose deleting all ch...

Re: Livetv via mythweb/VLC etc.

Mythweb is in maintenance only mode, and no further features are planned to be added to it at this time. We are working on an integrated web server in the backend instead. Sounds like a good idea, should take away the need to setup a webserver and mythweb. Is it also planned to move also the mysql ...
