Re: Live TV Streaming via Web

Hi,
FYI: for liveTV on web I'm using PLEX Media server + PLEX LiveTV plugin.
LiveTV plugin: https://github.com/warpme/plex-plugin-mythtv-livetv

It works well for me on current master
(pls note - PLEX LiveTV plugin is NOT supported on mythtv 29)

Updated MiniMyth2 Rpi edition

Hi there! I refreshed my minimyth2 RPI edition project. It is based on ArchLinux ARM (2018.05.10; 4.14.39 kernel) with Qt5.10.1 (recompiled so x11-xcb and EGLFS drawing works) and current mythtv 29 (r109; g0849e995) with all MiniMyth2 v8.19.5 patches. Applied mythtv patches: • Applied ticket9633 Pro...

Re: MythTV 29-fixes standalone frontend.app

I suspect issue is by differently behaving Qt 5.5 in OSX and Linux (as IFAIK issue from #12857 isn't present in Linux platform). Another possibility is in-proper calling of Qt in some of OSX ifdef sections in mythtv code... Probably good test will be to switch to newer/different Qt and see. Maybe so...

Re: mythtv-master OSX frontend builds

Quite the list of patches!! Well, indeed. But I'm using them in all my production systems and all ver. of MM2. No any negative reports so far. On the other hand almost every patch has clearly measurable benefits for me (i.e. extra functionality or i.e. startup time reduced from 12 to 7..8sec). Some...

MythTV 29-fixes standalone frontend.app

Hi, Just FYI if anybody needs standalone .app of mythfrontend.... I'm building in occasional way mythfrontend 29-fixes for OSX. It is standalone MAC .app with all plugins except: 1. zero-touch provisioned mythfrontend appliance

Hi, Just FYI: Recently I was working on zero-touch provisioning aspect of MiniMyth2 and achieve state where adding frontend appliance requires ONLY PXE boot enabling in BIOS (assuming You have properly prepared PXE server). So whole procedure of adding frontend can be more-or-less following: 1.enter...

Re: Sierra 10.12.4

Just another data point: macOS 10.12.4, build from viewtopic.php?f=26&t=1599
works without any problems for me (including LiveTV)
(btw: this is current master build - not 0.28-fixes)

So I decided to prepare small, dedicat...

Re: DHCP requirements

Here is vanilla ISC-DHCP config having minimum mandatory options needed only by MM2. You can learn what is needed by exploring content and looking on explanation: allow booting; allow bootp; default-lease-time 7200; max-lease-time 9600; option tcode code 101 = string; option space gpxe; option gpxe-...

Re: And how about...

I did take a look at NUC, but I do want to use MM2 and it would be such a beautiful partnership if it ran on some of the current Apple TV lookalikes. There is absolutely nothing prohibiting running MM2 on NUC. I'm guarantee You: MM2 will use FULL capabilities of NUC (in other words: it will run no ...
