Hello IIRC from another thread, some changes in the V4L modules and libraries prevent recent MythTV on Debian's stock kernel 4.9 to properly scan channels. With a Debian 9 under ESX 6.5U2 I've had some goods and bads at using the WinTV-QuadHD card in passthrough mode. MythTV 29 went OK for weeks but...

I tested on Debian's Stretch Backports which include a "linux-image-4.18.0-0.bpo.1-amd64" package, showing a uname version as of 4.18.6-1~bpo9+1 With that kernel and MythTV version 0.28.2-dmo1+deb9u1 , there are no more errors during channel s...
