Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Thanks for the update--the Program Guide tab is now working very well for me. Good job!

Re: Job queue is backed up

Commercial flagging works for me 99.99% of the time. I think the only time I've had stuck commflag jobs was when the recording was subtly damaged. It seems to abort on severely damaged recordings. What is the source of your recordings and have you noticed any glitches?

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Doh! I should have recognized the < and > buttons. Still, even though I have only about 20 channels that I receive over-the-air, I think there must be a better interface. Somebody that gets hundreds of cable channels would be pretty frustrated. I do not get additional guide guide when I pull up at t...

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

... I've been experimenting a little with playing of recordings on your iOS-device. That would be cool functionality to have, I think. The server needs to set up an HLS-stream for this. I am currently trying out OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software). Let's say it's not trivial. :-) To be continued...

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Ahhh, I didn't notice that it was showing listings from yesterday. I see entries for programs from more than 12 hours ago. Why show those? I have more than 2 screenfuls of old listings to scroll past. I confirm that the buttons you mentioned do appear for programs airing in now or in the future. Reg...

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Hmmm, perhaps I'm missing something obvious but I don't seem to have any button. This is what I see when I tap a program in the EPG:

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Hi all, there is an updated release of the Glorious MythTV app for iOS. It is pretty usable right now (or so I think). It gives access to the EPG, upcoming recordings and completed recordings. Also, the functionality for managing recordings is now in pretty good shape. You can manage recordings rul...

Re: MythFrontend crashes on launch after upgrade

As I read it (and I am almost completely illiterate when reading crash reports), it is failing in a callback from a Qt widget. I have no idea why that might be. Have you tried rolling Qt back to the prior version? The output of 'mythutil --version' will tell you which version Myth is using. Note tha...

Re: MythFrontend crashes on launch after upgrade

See https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/13452 Stick to exiv2 v0.27_0 or use the (simple) patch from there. Thanks. So, just to be certain, it appears that the patch from the ticket was applied to master and version 30. Not anything earlier? If so, I'll incorporate the patch for 0.28 in MacPorts. Cr...

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Interesting.. I'm using 0.29, protocol 91. Looking at this page: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/API_parameters_29 I can't see a reason why it would not work with 0.28. The services I use appear to be the same in 0.28 and 0.29, except for StopRecording, which was introduced in 0.29. So if you get an ht...

Re: New iOS-app for managing MythTV

Must have had fat fingers...found it now.

However, does it need a certain MythTV version? I've got 0.28 and I'm getting an http 500 error.

Re: MythFrontend crashes on launch after upgrade

With MacPorts, the default is your previously installed version is not deleted. You can "activate" a previous version fairly easily. For example, say it is Qt 5.12 that is causing the problem you observed. You could activate the 5.11 or 5.10 version for all your installed Qt modules (there are quite...

Re: MythFrontend crashes on launch after upgrade

I don't see much in the log. Just that you're using Qt 5.12.3. I presume that means you are on a recent version of macOS. Which one? For the kind of crashes you're experiencing, the OS should save a crash dump. In Applications/Utilities, open Console and look under User Diagnostic Reports. Hopefully...
