Re: Storage groups have changed behavior

Short answer, I can't duplicate the issue. I'm on v30-Pre, and moved one recording from a storage directory in my Default storage group to a storage directory in my MusicArt storage group. It plays OK. I used MusicArt just because its SD was empty. Try watching just one program that was moved and lo...

Re: How to configure two backends?

A new thread is a good idea, you're likely to get more eyes on it or at least get folks that have stopped reading this thread. I can help a bit with logging. Type: mythbackend -v help to see what's available. Works with mythfrontend too, or almost any myth<someProgramName>. To increase logging on th...

Re: User jobs not being queued after recording finishes

Great. Looks like you've been running with -v jobqueue. If not, mythbackend --setverbose jobque would do it. Then I'd expect to see multiple lines every minute as the queue is processed (I do.) You might just restart the backend or 1st truncate the queue then restart (from mysql: TRUNCATE TABLE jobq...

Re: SQL Database Socket Connection

Use localhost or 127.0.0.1 in config.xml.

At least one reference is: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Configuring ... tion_1.2F2

See: https://code.mythtv.org/cgit/mythtv/tre ... n.cpp#n159

I haven't tested this is years.

Re: User jobs not being queued after recording finishes

Hi,

Sounds reasonable. Mine looks like this: AutoRunJobs 0xc02

Before going further, are the jobs allowed in mythtv-setup?
General->Job Queue (Backend Specific). Or JobAllowUserJob<x>
in the DB.

Re: Recorder Failed & Watch TV fails during the Midnight hour every night

I'd go with your router suspicion. With the backend working (post reboot you mentioned) unplug the HDHR or turn off WiFi. See if the same 'Resource temporarily unavailable' error fires. You can remove MythTV from the mix. Just stop the backend, then from the command line and try things like: hdhomer...

Re: Capture cards

Hi,

I think you deleted capture cards on this host, not all capture cards.

In any case, it's harmless to have the 4-7 set. In the DB, the card
number is auto-incrementing (mine are in the 20-30s.) Long ago,
there was an issue with this.

Re: Segmentation fault with optimize_mythdb.pl

Great, now we know one thing that isn't the problem. I'd make a copy of the file and start eliminating things. The last three defrag items are fairly new, so maybe plant an exit(0); just before them and run it again. I don't speak Perl, but wonder if disconnecting from the DB before exiting would he...

Re: Segmentation fault with optimize_mythdb.pl

Defragmented: filemarkup is the last line (almost) of the Perl script
you're running. If you know how to use MySQL, then I try the command
it's executing:

Code: Select all

mysql -u mythtv -p -e "ALTER TABLE filemarkup ORDER BY filename" mythconverg
The password is the same one in ~mythtv/.mythtv/config.xml

Re: ATSC Not an Option in Locale Menu

Looks like ATSC was removed in 2008. From the commit: Fixes #4343. Allows all analog tv formats supported in MythTV to be supported in the Channel Editor in addition to being supported as a default format. Looks like the key words are 'analog tv formats'. Mine is set to NTSC (and I do have ATSC chan...

Re: Mythweb broken after upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04.1

I don't use mythweb, but have it running (without commenting out the above.)

Try: dpkg -l | grep libapache2-mod-php7.2

I have that installed and enabled. Also, try looking in /var/log/apache2/error.log
