Re: How to delete all recording rules

Here's a tool, based on other ones I use. Read the comments at the top for instructions. It only deletes rules using the Services API. It's written and tested for Python 3, but probably works on version 2. Change the 1st line accordingly. #!/usr/bin/python3 # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- ''' Delete ALL or ...

Re: cmdline-mythremote.tgz no longer works & can't recompile

Can't explain why it doesn't make, works on my Ubuntu 20.04 host. You can use the Services API,
although the following only sends one key at a time:

Code: Select all

curl --data Key=DOWN yourFrontendHostnameOrIP:6547/Frontend/SendKey
Note the API port number is different.

Try searching the mythtv-users list. I recall one from there. https://lists.archive.carbon60.com/mythtv/users/

Re: Reboot required periodically

What does: host 192.168.1.5 return? If nothing, then I'd suggest an entry in /etc/hosts to give it a name. The output of this may be of interest, is the hostname really an IP? In SQL: SELECT title, chanid, starttime, hostname FROM recorded WHERE basename='1020_20200707152000.ts'; Missing files (either ...

Re: mythtv-database (v.31) apt upgrade error

On my 20.04 host running MySQL v8, Trigger_priv: Y, Create_tablespace_priv: Y.

And on my 20.04 host running MariaDB 10.3, debian-sys-maint doesn't exist in
the user's table. Someone (that would be me) changed the defaults file user to
root.

Re: mythtv-database (v.31) apt upgrade error

I did leave the --host=localhost line out of the test above. If that fails, need to look at /etc/hosts (perhaps). If not, I'd change this line in the file above, just adding the $: fail_database "mysql 'hidden SECURITY_INFO' --execute=$QUERY $database" to fail_database "mysql 'hidden $SECURITY_INFO'...

Re: mythtv-database (v.31) apt upgrade error

Hi, The file in play here is: mythtv-database.postinst The SECURITY_INFO, hidden for obvious reasons, is either from the defaults file /etc/mysql/debian.cnf or entered manually via prompts. It's the SQL root user which is automatically generated and stored in the file in /etcmysql or (if that doesn'...

Re: "Change Group Filter" suddenly unsorted?

What little I know: Mine Groups sort OK, but I only have 1 "CUSTOM" group. It's ------- Groups ------- (seven, not three dashes, at least in master). The query involved seems to be: SELECT recgroup,COUNT(title) FROM recorded WHERE deletepending = 0 AND watched <= 0x800 GROUP BY recgroup; (I could be...

Re: Can't access recordings on migrated new machine

I would start the backend with --loglevel debug and watch for messages at the beginning of the log (related to Storage Groups). Also, from your favorite browser: <yourBackend>:6544/Myth/GetStorageGroupDirs?GroupName=Default if Default is the Storage Group of interest. Expect contents similar to thes...

Re: XMLTV grabber for Schedules Direct JSON

"settings" is an actual table name in the mythconverg DB. I'm not sure if that's what you're referring to above. When the package is removed, the DB isn't, so everything, not just the settings table remains. My experience has been that removing/reinstalling doesn't always solve issues. While it can ...

Re: XMLTV grabber for Schedules Direct JSON

In addition to the above location of ScheulesDirect.DB, you have the
<source name>.xmltv file(s) under ~mythtv/.mythtv too right?

Need to look at the mythfilldatabase.log. Should be in /var/log/mythtv.

If it doesn't offer any clues, pastebin it or attach it here.

Re: XMLTV grabber for Schedules Direct JSON

The login user's .mythtv directory wasn't supposed to be empty, the
<source>.xmltv isn't supposed to be there. The "normal" things, like
config.xml and all other directories would still be there. My example
above is misleading and I fixed it.
