Re: UserJob failed after recording complete

See if the command is in the PATH of the user running the backend (most likely 'mythtv'.)

Try this: sudo --set-home --login --user=mythtv and then run the command. If that
fails, try using the full path in the UserJob.

Re: Myth 0.29 - Mythweb won't save any changes

MAYBE (going on very old memory here) cookies aren't allowed for
the backend's IP or hostname.

Assuming that when you mention that the "changes are not saved", you
pressed the Save button at the bottom of that page.

Re: Will not Fetch EPG for HDHomerun Prime

Hi, I'd suggest starting with the line that says: 2019-11-18 16:19:39.552305 I Downloaded 420 bytes I'd expect at least KBs. But that depends on how many channels were selected in Schedules Direct If that doesn't help, you can get a better log (it will be in /tmp) with this: mythfilldatabase --dd-gr...

Re: getting CORS blocking JSON request

curl --data Key=AllowedOriginsList --data Value=commaSeparatedListIncludeingDefaultsAbove --data HostName=_GLOBAL_ localhost:6544/Myth/PutSetting The CORS code was added some time ago but I don't recall the release v29, v30 and v31-Pre have it. Mention your MythTV version if the above doesn't work....

Re: getting CORS blocking JSON request

Correct, the setting is for expanding the defaults. Are the any messages in the logs.
Check before changing the DB.

Re: getting CORS blocking JSON request

Yes, it's in settings, but isn't likely there as there are defaults.

Code: Select all

https://chromecast.mythtv.org,http://chromecast.mythtvcast.com
But I'd check the logs before going there.

Re: Webfrontend issue

Hi,

Try: Play on Frontend yourFrontendHostName. That works for me on Ubuntu 19.04. The
Play in Browser feature doesn't work.

Re: getting CORS blocking JSON request

Hi, I don't speak AJAX, but you can try: mythbackend --setverbose http:debug on mythbox (that has the backend already running.) Then look in the backend log, perhaps /var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log . If the backend detects a CORS failure, there are logs for it. There's a setting to allow additional ...

Re: TV Listing Displays the Wrong Time [CentOS 7]

I don't have anything (TV etc.) to test DLNA. Changed the Subject: again. In the Services API, which uses some UPnP, code all timestamps are sent and returned in UTC. Not sure if that's the issue. I'll assume the TV has a clock and that it's correct. Could there be an option for timestamps received ...

Re: TV Listing Displays the Wrong Time

Unfortunately, those were my best shots. I modified the initial Subject: line
to add CentOS 7. See if that gets any hits (I'm a *buntu user.)

I <assume> you're using mythfrontend when mentioning: 'But when I display the listings on my TV...'

Re: TV Listing Displays the Wrong Time

Try the tests/solutions here: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MySQL_Time_Zone_Tables If completely missing, I'd have expected to see an error message in the backend log (and it wouldn't startup: "MySQL time zone support check failed" -25200 / 3600 = -7 hours. That matches the difference in the times abo...

Re: TV Listing Displays the Wrong Time

Please mention your listing source. Typically, the times are stored in UTC, so your offset is important. What does this return: curl --header Accept:application/json yourBackendHostNameOrIP:6544/Myth/GetTimeZone And, of course, what timezone are you in? In at least one place in the code, Red Had bas...

Maybe /var/log/mysql/error.log will have more details on the job that failed.
