Re: metadata lookup failing with exit code 128

The default Python version for v31 is 3, maybe you want python3-requests-cache.

Re: Version 31 install disabling Python bindings

1st question, not for Live TV. assuming your viewing with mythfrontend. Unless you've configured some System Event for Live TV that calls a Python script. 2nd question, ./configure has a --python switch that defaults to python3. If you want python2, specify it there. Tests are made using the version...

Re: Mythweb failure, deleted mythweb_sessions table

A simpler way would be to change the WebDBSchemaVer setting to 0. That will fool mythweb into thinking that a schema change is required and the 1st step is to DROP and CREATE the table. @ dmbgo, can you provide a link to the incorrect SQL? That query is from 2009. If it's in the MythTV Wiki, I'll fi...

Re: Usefulness of database backup

The issue is discussed every so often on the mailing list. Some (very few) users
use RAID for their recordings. Others backup the recordings themselves. For
the most part, the opinion is "it's only TV" so losses are OK. Especially since
some programs can be re-recorded.

The packaging tree for Debian is here: https://github.com/MythTV/packaging/blo ... ron.weekly
And @gpw928 was just pushed for v30, v31 and master. Thanks for spotting the issue.

Re: autoexpire list?

Leading with the good news: yes, I can duplicate the issue that way. In fact an error or 2 will be seen in mythbackend.log. Bad news, that's what I was assuming was the case in my 1st reply. But I think in your case, the recordings don't appear in All/Watch recordings (what the Wiki addresses.) Rath...

Re: v30 Frontend see tuners but Scheduler only records one recording

The commands will return immediately and create files:

Code: Select all

channel.txt
dtv_multiplex.txt
capturecard.txt
videosource.txt
That's what you should attach here.

Re: autoexpire list?

Can you list the exact steps to reproduce this? My test was: Make a recording (it was just one minute long) Make sure it appeared on the Information Center->System Status->AutoExpire List From the Media Library->Watch Recordings->Watch List, deleted it (using allow to rerecord) Made sure the AE list...

Re: v30 Frontend see tuners but Scheduler only records one recording

I do see that cardid 1 and 2 use sourceid 1 and 2. That's not wrong, but is unusual.
Since both tuners use the same guide information, only one source is required. I'd
delete the extra Video source and change the 2nd tuner to use the 1st one in the
Input connections part of mythtv-setup.

Re: Updates

Friendly suggestion (as you're not getting any hits) update the subject line
with more detail. Maybe your Linux distribution is what you're asking about.

An example of the notification in question would be good.
