Re: Backend on Pi 4

The backend runs fine on a 2GB Pi 4. Recorded 3 HD channels 1080i to a usb2 hard drive from a DVB2 - USB2 tuner. I installed Rasbian and had the database on the SD card and recorded to an external USB2 drive. Would have been easier to put everything on the external drive, preferably USB3. That's fa...

Backend on Pi 4

With the new Pi4 supporting much more RAM would it now be possible to use the Pi as a dedicated backend (or even just as a non-recording master backend?) (with no frontend installed)

Re: MythTV in Oz

Glad to hear the commercial flagging is working for you! It could be that it’s much better on the regional networks than in Sydney as they need the flagging to handle local commericals. Can’t help much with what to watch I’m sorry, there’s not a whole heap of local programming here and most people w...

Re: MythTV in Oz

Welcome to Australia! I’m running the HD Homeruns (old ones) quite happily in Sydney and I’m surprised that changing the firmware to the European/Australian version wouldn’t make them work here. I find the embedded guide okay but you need to set much wider buffer zones on your recordings as the Auss...

Re: Apple TV

It looks like it's arrived on the Australian app store now, $14.99 well spend as it seems to work really well! (certainly better than the uPNP client I was using!)

Re: Apple TV

Thanks - yes I looked on the AppleTV but it's not showing up. There's very few TV apps on the Australian store so it should be easy to see I thought...

Re: oldrecorded" table and season and episode numbers

I was afraid there were schema changes in 0.28. I've been hanging out for it to be a full release before doing the upgrade as I don't want to get ahead of myself given the central place in the media system it has. Upgrading isn't going to create old recording data so I'll do some research and see wh...

Re: oldrecorded" table and season and episode numbers

Thanks, that Yes - from recorded to oldrecorded, i'm on v0.27.5-3-g9498257. I agree about the metadata lookup, i've got a process importing recordings from other sources into the database which populates the season/episode information into the database via other methods. I've use the recorded table ...

Re: oldrecorded" table and season and episode numbers

Hi, I'm seeing this too... it looks like the season and episode numbers are not transferred from recorded to record and oldrecorded when the episodes are moved to those tables. I see that issue 12218 was logged for something similar before and closed as invalid as the listings source didn't provide ...

Re: Atlas XML TV Listings and Mythfilldatabase adding channe

Thanks - it wasn't attached to a capture card, but this evening I tried attaching it to a device and now i'm not seeing any errors. I've cleaned up the database and removed all of the channels that were added by mythfilldatabase and it seems to be okay now (no errors). The video source hadn't been s...

Atlas XML TV Listings and Mythfilldatabase adding channels

Hi, I've managed to configure the Atlas XMLTV feed to get listings and have all of the channels and listing data showing in mythweb but i'm coming across a 'strangeness'. When I run mythfilldatabase I get additional channels added to the database every time it runs. These channels have a "" (or NULL...
