Chromecast with Google TV?

Has anyone tried out a new Chromecast with Google TV with the various new Myth android frontends? Sideloading appears to be do-able so might be an alternative to a Firestick 4K or ShieldTV? I have no free HDMI ports so replacing an existing chromecast with this newer model is appealing. Also, on and...

Re: Backend on Pi 4

I agree that commercial detection is not as reliable as I would like, but I think that it helps me more than 50% of the time. I am also curious whether 2-4 simultaneous HDHomerun MPEG-2 recordings if an rpi4 would be able to handle it when compared to my current machine with a 7 year old: Asus M5A7...

Re: Live TV session kicked by Recording on same mux

Have you set the schedule order and livetv order in setup? See here: viewtopic.php?f=36&t=762 and https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Setup_Input_Connections

Works on my 0.25 setup, no errors in the logs, adverts detected and skippable from within Myth. Ran it manually and as a scheduled job.

Re: [0.26] Commercial Skipping

That was directed at nick-au on his Debian system. Yeah, I got that, just wondered if it was a similar issue on my box. Thanks for the pointers, my problem is the rsyslog config, it's different at 0.25. I should be able to fix that and will add a note to the wiki. Regarding your need to run "python...

Re: [0.26] Commercial Skipping

I have set the commercial skip command in the master backend to "/usr/local/bin/silence.py %JOBID% %VERBOSEMODE% --loglevel debug" via mythtv-setup. I thought I had set mine up differently. For what it's worth, for some reason (most likely to be a path or config error on my part) I needed to set my...

Re: [0.26] Commercial Skipping

I'm still back on 0.25 and mythbuntu, but that shouldn't matter too much, more likely is that my config isn't ideal either but it does work. /var/log/mythbackend.log should at least tell you that the job has started, e.g: Sep 28 20:31:08 Mythbox mythbackend[1593]: I Commflag_16396 jobqueue.cpp:2276 ...

Re: Upgrading to 0.27.1 - or is it already there?

MythTV Version : v0.27.3 The website hasn't been updated yet, though. Still says: Current Release: 0.27.1 I'm interested to read the release notes, but I guess I'll just have to wait for that to be updated. The release notes were posted to the mailing list, not sure how the front page of the mythtv...
