Re: Future shows in oldrecorded

Thank you for your continued support in this! Curiously, oldfind seems to be empty: mysql> select * from oldfind; Empty set (0.00 sec) Is that a problem? I restarted both the backend and mysql, situation is still as before. The only thing I can think of now is to delete and recreate the recording ru...

Re: Future shows in oldrecorded

Nothing there, apparently:

Code: Select all

mysql> SELECT * FROM recorded WHERE subtitle = "Unklare Lage";
Empty set (0.01 sec)

Re: Does your mythbackend have libx264 support compiled-in?

FWIW, I don't see libx264 in the output of "mythbackend --version" either: mythtv@mythtv:~$ mythbackend --version Please attach all output as a file in bug reports. MythTV Version : v30.0 MythTV Branch : Network Protocol : 91 Library API : 30.20181231-1 QT Version : 5.9.5 Options compiled in: linux ...

Re: Future shows in oldrecorded

Hi Bill, thanks for your answer and sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I had planned to look into this last weekend but didn't find the time. The problem still exists, though: MythTV marks upcoming first showings of series episodes as repeats and does not schedule them for recording. One exam...

Future shows in oldrecorded

I've recently noticed that Mythtv won't record some of my regular show, claiming they were previously recorded. As this sometimes affects first runs of the episodes in question, I know for certain that this is not true. Trying to investigate this, I found that I have indeed a couple of entries for s...

Re: [SOLVED] What inserts programid entries in my DB?

Myth does handle EIT data in that form and splits it into title/subtitle. But I don't think I ever seen EIT supply a movie with a subtitle. So your problems started when you decided to fix the subtitles. I'm not sure I understand you completely here: I just did a mythfilldatabase run with the unmod...

Re: What inserts programid entries in my DB?

Thanks for your comments. I'll check on the german board, although it seems rather deserted. As for the current source: No, it doesn't categorise everything as a movie. And in the case of "Tatort" one could probably argue about whether it's a series or a collection of related movies. The latter woul...

Re: What inserts programid entries in my DB?

Thank you, that explains it perfectly. Would you consider that sensible behaviour though? I'd think assuming that even two movies with identical titles but different subtitles are actually the same movie is at least error prone. Also, as seen in my case, it depends on correct categorization in the E...

Re: WinQuadHD Tuner 1609 - Only 1 Tuner Usable

I'm using the same card on Ubuntu 18.04 without problems. However, my Ubuntu installation is inside an lxd container on a Debian host so our situations might be quite different kernel-wise.

Do you see any dvb-related messages in the system logs? How do those look?

Re: What inserts programid entries in my DB?

I've done some further observing but without much success at finding the cause: The programids apparently get inserted by the mythfilldatabase run itself. The command I use is mythfilldatabase --file --sourceid 1 --xmlfile xmltv.xml The inserted programid ("MV94942868" for "Tatort") is nowhere to be...

[SOLVED] What inserts programid entries in my DB?

I have one single video source for which I have set no xmltv grabber: mysql> select * from videosource; +----------+--------+--------------+--------+-------------+----------+----------+--------+------------+------------+ | sourceid | name | xmltvgrabber | userid | freqtable | lineupid | password | u...

Re: new episode falsely identified as previously recorded

Okay, I found the problem myself: All upcoming episodes had the same programid. Deleting that solved the false positives.

I have no idea, however, how those programids got into the DB in the first place but that's another issue.

new episode falsely identified as previously recorded

I have a strange problem: The upcoming episode of "Tatort" is identified as having previously been recorded. That's quite impossible as it's the first airing of this episode. I do, however, have entries for the episode in oldrecorded: mysql> select title, subtitle, starttime from program where title l...

Re: Mythbuntu PPA 30 still gives "HERE BE DRAGONS" warning

Thank you both for the clarification! @bill6502: That's indeed what I was referring to. Since it's marked as "Suggested" on the Packages page (can't post the link), I had assumed it would always be up to date with the latest MythTV release. No problem though, I'll brave those perils for now. ;) I'm ...

Mythbuntu PPA 30 still gives "HERE BE DRAGONS" warning

With MythTV 30.0 released, I would have expected this warning to go away. Is this an oversight or does the repo indeed not provide the stable/release version? In case of the latter, is there a repo that does or should I build from source?

Thanks in advance for any pointers!
