Last channel scan I did got me 85 channels where I am with a decent antenna. I have mythmusic, videos, and images, but 95% of my usage is for recor...

Re: Replacement MCE Remote

Get a JP1 remote, a programing cable, and program whatever you it it to do. This might help.

Re: [Solved] IR Remote Keys Repeat Many Times Starting with Kernel 5.8.0-49

Check for kernels 5.10.0-xxxx available for your distro. Earlier ones are screwed up, but any after 5.10.0-1023 should be ok. At least this one works fine and they are available for 20.04LTS. Any kernel with a compile date from 09-2020 to 03-2021 has the potential of being screwed up depending on th...

Re: Are storage directories used or the old Video Settings - Directory For Fanart...?

I have those same settings in mine, but if I look at the actual directories, they aren't their. Not even /.mythtv/Video. How they got in the settings I have no idea.

Never ran the 5.8.0 kernel. Suggest you got to this and see if it fixes the problem. wes@mythfe0:~$ ir-keytable -V IR keytable control version 1.18.0 wes@mythfe0:~$ uname -a Linux mythfe0 5.10.0-1023-oem #24-Ubuntu SMP Thu Apr 15 13:46:37 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux wes@mythfe0:~$ lsb_re...

Re: time for a new backend / daily driver

If you're getting a new MB, I highly suggest you get one with M.2 NVME slot and nvme drive, NVME drives are many times faster than sata ssd drives.

Re: time for a new backend / daily driver

I've been very happy with my AMD Ryzen 3 2200G and 3200G cpu's. I'm sure there's a reason for high end video cards, but I just don't know what it is. Both will handle 2160 video.
