Re: Does your mythbackend have libx264 support compiled-in?

From ppa/30, and no libx264 here either, although both libx264-148 and libx264-152 re installed on my system. xubuntu 18.04LTS

Re: A channel does not play often

I feed 11 tuners from my antenna with no problem, BUT, I do have a distribution amp that amplifies 2 outputs, From one I feed 7 tuners, and 4 from the other one. The one that feeds 7 is actually 3 dual tuners in my master backend and 1 TV. The other feeds 3 tv's and an old vcr.

Re: autoexpire list?

Ok, none of that worked. What I ended up doing was what I teied to avoid, but coudn't I guess. Which was to create a dummy file of the same filename, then delete it from the recordings screen. I could then delete it from the autoexpire list. Was hoping for an easier way, but this way works. First un...

autoexpire list?

I've got 22 items in my autoexpire list that are marked (deleted) and I can't get rid of them. They are months old and of course the actual recordings have been long gone. I can undelete them and they show up as blue in the recordings list. If I delete them from there, they go right back to the auto...

Re: "Regular" users, customizing theme for more info

I would suggest that you add what you want to the end instead of the front. That way the titles will stay aligned.
Might try google for xml programming.

Re: Activating MythWeb

What happens when you try http://localhost/mythweb/ in your browser?
In any case, I assume you meant version 0.28 since there is no 0.38. First thing I'd do is backup the sytsem with clonezilla and then upgrade everything to 18.04LTS and mythtv to V30.

Re: Recent Backend Build?

Unless you're going to put a lot of extra crap on the os partition, 20gb would be plenty. This might give you an idea of how little it takes. And this is with lots of extras in the root filesystem. es@mythfe0:~$ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on udev 6.8G 0 6.8G 0% /dev tmpfs 1.4G 1.6...

Re: Some "media keys" not recognized in key mapping?

Likely not defined in your distro KB layout. In buntu's for instance, iirc the default KB layout is generic 105, which doesn't recognize multimedia keys. In buntu's it's Settings> Keyboard>Layout to set KB model.

Re: Important upcoming v31 Changes, you may have work to do!

Reporting a problem. When I let mythfilldatabase run automatically on schedule, it fails. mythconverg shows: mythfilldatabaseLastRunStatus FAILED: XMLTV grabber returned error code 1. When I run mythfilldatabase from mythwelcome, it works. I suspect it's a user problem. I log in as my own user, and...

Re: Good remotes?

The 6 pin header is a JP1 interface. Using it you can program anything you want to a jp1 capable remote. I use my own custom programming this way, using remotemaster and jp1 cable

Look in TV playback for setbookmark. Works for videos too.

Re: Muting audio

Generally, the keyboard only works on the active app running, so switch the active app to the mythtv screen and try it there.
