Music directory structure

Hello world, I'm still trying to sort my music out. https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MythMusic#Importing_music_to_the_music_directory says: Importing music to the music directory If you have some tracks you want to add to your music directory then one easy way to do it is to import the tracks using MythM...

Re: MythMusic Unknown Artists/album/etc

Good question. What are ID3 tags? I'll give it a go and see what happens... I scanned an empty directory to erase my music data and then rescanned (ignoring ID3 tags) and EVERYTHING is not recognised  . It's only a few hundred CDs... any hints on the best way to rip for the latest version of m...

Re: 0.28 Mythfrontend crashes on exit...and continously rest

Hello all,
I don't understand this solution. I don't see any options (other than start frontend on boot) under behavior.

Is it because I installed mythtv in accordance withhttps://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Installing_MythTV_on_Ubuntu?

Re: 0.28 Australian EIT guide not showing

I have used shepherd for years to grab all my channel data. It works quite well for all the channels I'm interested in and is very easy to install (on a linux box at least). Check out

MythMusic Unknown Artists/album/etc

Hello all, I have all my music arranged in directories by music_root/artist/album/track with an image of the album art in the track directory called folder_large.jpg. For example: └── Wolfstone └── Year of the Dog-1994 ├── 01-Holy Ground.mp3 ├── 02-Ballavanich.mp3 ├── 03-The Sea King.mp3 ├── 04-Brav...

Re: Border on Playback

Changing overscan worked for me too. It is a bit hard to click any of the menus at the 'top' of the screen (they are there somewhere off the screen). I messed with no of pixels and offsets and scaling etc. but things look good now. I also ticked the box to say use a different screen size playback. M...

Re: Start mythfrontend on boot

You guys are the saviour of my sanity! Both methods seem to work :D . Rcarballo, I had to edit the menu system to enable the 'Default Applications' bit but I added a line to point to /usr/bin/frontend and it seems to work fine. I agree that it shouldn't be that difficult to do this. It just took me ...

Start mythfrontend on boot [SOLVED]

Hello world. I have been trying for some time now to make a useful, small, mythtv frontend 'appliance'. I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B running raspbian jessie that has been fully updated using apt-get. I have installed mythtv-light and mythutilities-light in accordance with https://www.mythtv.org/w...
