Database versions

I have a Mythtv light installation (0.28.1) on a Raspberry Pi 3 that I want to migrate to an Odroid C2 with Ubuntu 16.04. On Ubuntu the latest prebuild version is 0.28.0. Are the databases compatible (i.e. can I export the contents on the Raspberry Pi 3 and import them on the Odroid C2? Or: Are ther...

Re: Experiences Odroid XU4 with DVB-T2?

I found out that my mobile phone surprisingly has the same Exynos chip and fails to decode DVB-T2 signals properly. Case closed.

Experiences Odroid XU4 with DVB-T2?

I am considering an Odroid XU4 with Ubuntu for a MythTV DVB-T2 (HEVC, 1080p, in Germany) TV system. I need to connect a TechnoTrend TVStick CT2-4400, which requires kernel 3.16 or newer (thus the Ubuntu image with a 4.x kernel). However, https://wiki.odroid.com/odroid-xu4/os_images/linux/ubuntu_4.9/...

Re: DVB-T2: stale tuners

I am not sure which delete I used. I repeated the procedure with "delete all capture cards." After that I only get two tuners in Information Centre >System Status > Tuner Status. Running dmesg outputs: [ 8.818232] usb 1-1.4: DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (Silicon Labs Si2168)... Which fits t...

Banana Pi M2+ [Off-Topic?]

Has anybody succeeded to run a mythfrontend on a Banana Pi M2+? The hardware allows playback of HEVC streams (e.g. DVB-T2 in Germany) as successfully tried with vlc3.0 beta. However, the OS (Ubuntu Mate 16.04) seems to be a rather low quality hack. mythfrontend is missing a libopenmaxil.so. This lib...

DVB-T2: stale tuners

For reasons that I do not understand (but probably linked to me playing around with the configuration), I have 5+2 tuners in mythfrontend: Tuner 1-Tuner 5 are not available Tuner 6-Tuner 7 are available All tuners are of type [DVB : /dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0 ] I cannot watch TV and I cannot record...

Re: DVB-T2 HD receiver with CI+

Hello dekarl, I am new to this topic. Does conditional access mean CI and DRM mean CI+? So mythtv supports CI, but not CI+, regardless of the source (e.g. DVB-T2 or DVB-S)? In the end, I need to upgrade my DVB-T setup to have TV after end of March. Means hardware (see original question, I have not f...

What are the issues here? Is this a general CI+ thing or only relevant for DVB-T2?

DVB-T2 HD receiver with CI+

Hello,

are there any DVB-T2 HD (as used in Germany) receivers that have a CI+ slot? So far, I have only found receivers with CI slot. Preferably, the receiver should work with Linux and connect via USB. However, other OSes and PCI/PCIe would be OK as well.

Thanks for any feedback.
