Re: transcode-h264-v2.py thru System Events

Hi everyone, I have a small problem with the script. I noticed it always ended with result code 1. It turns out that it has problem committing the recording markups... Traceback (most recent call last): File "/myth/transcode-h264-v2.py", line 683, in <module> main() File "/myth/transcode-h264-v2.py"...

transcode-h264-v2.py thru System Events

Hi everyone, I wanted to share about my experience trying to use this script thru events instead of a user job. I already use mythlink.pl thru the record started and recordings deleted/expired events so I can get access to my recordings thru Plex. The script: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Transcode_Mp...

Re: 3D content on non-3D display

Thanks! Nice.. but unfortunately, my frontend is not fast enough for OpenGL. Without VDPAU I'm dead in the water. ;) N.B. Currently only supported when using OpenGL rendering. VDPAU and Direct3D support will follow. Additional support for auto-detecting stereoscopic streams is also on the way. That ...

3D content on non-3D display

Hi, I have a lot of 3D content in the form of MKV files. My main display supports it without a problem. However, with the demise of 3D, I can't find an affordable display for the basement (kids) living room. I know it's possible to convert that content to 2D but if I want to keep the 3D content as w...

Re: HEVC (H.265) playback

Thank you very much for your answer. and all this information. I was afraid of that since the AM3 socket did not exist for a long time so the CPUs performance does not differ that much. My frontend is a silent box and it contains no fan.. my current 430 is the silent model (ENGT430 DC SL/DI/1GD) So ...

Re: HEVC (H.265) playback

I recently upgraded to 0.28 so I could take advantage of HEVC. Unfortunately, my NVDIA 430 does not decode it. So it falls back on the CPU which is not powerful enough (Athlon X2 250.) I was playing some HEVC content earlier and I noticed that only one of the CPU was pegged. Usage for mythtvfrontend...
