Re: Config questions

On a stand-alone mythtv installation, you should not have to change the default values. The data in these fields corresponds to the data in /etc/mythtv/config.xml. If this is a remote backend, the hostname will be the master backend IP or hostname. The user and password correspond to the mysql user ...

Not sure either as I read somewhere on this or another forum, that there aren't any developers utilizing diseqc

Re: database

Or if you want, using mysql-workbench, drop the schema mythconverg. Then reinstall mythtv-database

Diseqc rotor calculations

Ok, now that I can enter multiple input connections for a card, using diseqc 1.2 sends the dish to the east limit for any sat position. Diseqc 1.3 calculations must be wrong as well because to get to 87° sat, I must set the degrees to 88.7 for strongest signal, and for 97°, I must set degrees to 95....

Re: 0.28 diseqc problem: second LNB missing in Input Connect

Holger, each duplicate card is identical... all it does is create new input connections... in the input connections, you would set up which satellite and lnb like before

Re: 0.28 diseqc problem: second LNB missing in Input Connect

I'll see what I can do... I'm working on some other issues related to mythtv setup inside LinuxMCE, and time doesn't grow on trees either!!

Re: 0.28 diseqc problem: second LNB missing in Input Connect

It would have been nice if 0.28's release notes stated how to do this since it was changed. Anyhow, you can create multiple DVB cards for the same adapter/frontend. It may indicate that it is already in use (on ubuntu 1404 it did but not 1604) but it works. You will have multiple inputs available. S...

Re: Input Connections for DVB-S with rotor/positioner

Thanks for the reply... Not sure the reasoning for the changes, but now it is twice the work to set up multiple satellites... define multiple cards then define inputs for each card... Maybe the devs can move the functionality of the "input Connections' into the Capture Cards allowing definition of t...

Input Connections for DVB-S with rotor/positioner

In 0.25 (running on ubuntu 12.04) when you defined an input connection for a DVB card that was configured with a diseqc rotor, it allowed you to create additional input connections for multiple satellites. After upgrading to ubuntu 16.04 and Mythtv 0.28 on my day-t0-day PC (and linuxmce 14.04 and My...
