Re: Windows Version ?

If you are on Windows 10 you could try running the Ubuntu packages through WSL(Windows subsystem for Linux).

Re: Script to export Mythtv recordings to a folder or NAS

I hoped there might be a key command in the FrontEnd to run a User Job - but I can't see that.
press M > job options > begin job name. Alternatively if you use Mythweb you can queue a job from the recording details page.

Re: !!NoTrans: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable!!

the count() error is listed in the PHP manual as an incompatible change in 7.2 https://secure.php.net/manual/en/migration72.incompatible.php . Basically in previous versions the code produced the desired result, but probably should have been an error and in 7.2 it is an error. This error is likely t...

Re: !!NoTrans: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable!!

I may have found a possible solution to this issue. looks like replacing line 194 $count = count($records); with if (is_array($records)) $count = count($records); else $count = 0; may resolve this issue in PHP 7.2. Not a PHP programmer so I'm not aware of any issues with implementing this solution.

Re: New client to old backend

I'll second pgbennet's suggestion. It is the same procedure I plan to follow and the reason I've been procrastinating on upgrading to 29. only difference is I'm using a separate disk, with a slightly larger root partition to accommodate extra services/programs I use. For a dedicated backend/frontend...

Re: API call needed for retain recording

I think a better way to go about it would be to make tns:Program(return of /Dvr/GetRecorded) include all of the recorded entry's from the database. Then add an UpdateRecorded call to modify the data in the database. So rather than a call for every item someone may wish to modify you have one call th...

Re: User Job reports error but completes

It may not seem like a huge deal now, but after you have used it a few dozen times and find out what is broken it could be. Of course it could be its just not setting the return code properly. You could try changing the end of the script to look like this if len(args) == 1: runjob(jobid=args[0]) sys...

Re: User Job reports error but completes

It is crashing when trying to delete the original/commercial edited file.

is '/Media/MythTV/Recordings/1501_20171230143000.ts' the correct full path to the recording file?

What OS are you using?

Re: User Job reports error but completes

Your tzoffset should currently be -5 for The Bahamas. For some reason when i previously did the math my brain assumed 9:30pm. Check your recording directory for the recording file(1501_20180113143000.ts). If the recording is set to start early it may be slightly different. Daylight savings time can ...

Re: User Job reports error but completes

for the "Ocean Treks" recording you posted earlier the command would look like /home/mythtv/transcode-h264-v2.py --chanid 1501 --starttime 20180127143000 --tzoffset 7 the chanid and starttime are used to identify the recording you wish to interact with in the database. In the case of this script you...

Re: User Job reports error but completes

The DB error is likely because of the way the script handles the start time. when only using the chanid and starttime variables, it expects a UTC timestamp. If using the starttime from the filename it needs tzoffset to build the UTC timestamp.

Re: User Job reports error but completes

For running the script from a terminal you need to run it as /home/mythtv/transcode-h264-v2.py --chanid <chanid> --starttime <starttime> --tzoffset <your UTC offeset> I haven't used that script in a long time, there was an audio issue with mythtranscode that made me write my own script. I do remembe...

Re: Transcoding of HEVC recordings to H.264

you should be able to use Mythffmpeg. comand would look something like

Code: Select all

mythffmpeg -i input.ts -map 0 -c:a copy -c:v libx264 -preset:v medium -crf:v 18 output.ts
