Re: Mythbackend shutdown issues with systemd.

pgbennett and bill,

Thanks for the help. There was an ExecStop=/usr/bin/mythshutdown --setscheduledwakeup in my mythbackend.service file. I deleted it and uncommented the one with the propershutdown command. Works great.

[Solved] Mythbackend shutdown issues with systemd.

The process to shutdown mythbackend via systemd was working great, however now it takes well over a minute and doesn't work when suspending/resuming. I can't seem to find any log files in /var/log/mythtv so I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas? The terminal output below is systemctl status mythbac...

Re: Table './mythconverg/program' is marked as crashed

Thank you for the response. I'm not very familiar with MySQL. Is "dropping" the table deleting it and then running mythfilldatabase or a different procedure?

Thanks again.

Table './mythconverg/program' is marked as crashed

Guys, I seem to have some kind of database error that I haven't been able to fix. I've tried running various repair commands to fix the database but none have worked. mythTV actually works, but I don't have any EPG data and I don't think that mythfilldatabase is working because of the problem below....

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Guys, Adding this to the /etc/fstab worked: UUID=82fb5afc-7ac7-465f-83b6-dc185de0be22 /media/family/Storage\040Drive ext4 defaults 0 2 Got it all working now. Just have to clean everything up a little bit so its not quite as messy. For anyone that messes it up like I did here is the general rundown:...

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Bill,

I tried to modify my /etc/fstab file to no avail. I had to go into recovery mode to undo the changes.

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Bill, Thanks again for your patience. Turns out the Storage Drive isn't being automatically loaded on boot. From /etc/fstab: # <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass> # / was on /dev/sda2 during installation UUID=c1734ff5-c0b6-4ca8-95c3-d3850c0c0727 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1 # ...

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Bill,

So it turns out that I can record to the Storage Drive now, but unlike the KINGSTON drive it doesn't seem to be found at boot. Once I manually open it and view contents then myth can find it.

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Bill, Take a look at the terminal returns below. I turned the computer on and entered the first command which showed that the directories don't exit. Then I clicked on the drive itself, entered the command again, and the directories are found. family@HTPC:~$ sudo ls -l /media /media/family /media/fa...

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Bill, I should have known to chmod. Thanks for pointing that out. There must be something else wrong with my setup. I tried the ls command again and this is what was returned: family@HTPC:~$ ls -l /media /media/family /media/family/Storage\ Drive /media/family/Storage\ Drive/recordings ls: cannot ac...

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

Bill, I think you're right that one of the parent directories is causing the problem. Seems like /media is root:root, /media/family is family:mythtv, /media/family/Storage Drive for recordings is mythtv:mythtv, and everything in /media/family/Storage Drive/recordings is mythtv:mythtv. Below is the o...

Re: Storage Directory new and old recordings

http://paste.ubuntu.com/15262660/ BIll, Attached is the mythbackend log. A couple things of note: I've got quite a few lines that look like this: "Mar 1 14:51:27 HTPC mythbackend: mythbackend[2273]: E HttpServer40 programinfo.cpp:2359 (GetPlaybackURL) ProgramInfo(1081_20160119170000.mpg): GetPlaybac...

[Solved]: Storage Directory new and old recordings

I've referenced the "Setup Storage Drive" on the wiki and the old Storage Drive thread but still can't figure out my problem. I have a small solid state drive that I was using for recordings, however it quickly filled up. The path was /var/lib/mythtv/recordings. I moved all of my recordings to a dif...
