Re: mythTV fails to save recordings

Yes, it tries to record, but there's no file created. File space isn't changing. It's usually some time afterwards, but testing also fails immediately after recording. Yes, I can see the files for live TV. I _think_ at this point I've diagnosed the problem. I think the antenna is failing (or for som...

mythTV fails to save recordings

I have what was a fully-functioning mythtv environment that's been in place for years. CentOS7, mythtv-0.28-4.el7.nux.x86_64 using a HDHomerun to record shows Suddenly it's stopped working. The lineup is correct, and recording still "record", but no file is created. If I select the show to watch fro...

Re: Rating/ranking plug-in?

So I can see a ranking set from the Guide source, but not set one on my own (and likely if I changed it, it'd get overwritten).

Drat! I"m not good enough to create such a thing on my own, even if I want one! :-)

Rating/ranking plug-in?

Is there any ability to rate/rank shows within MythTV?

When watching a long TV Series, I'd like to be able to flag the episodes that were particularly good (and bad!) so if I'm just hankering for an episode or two later I know which ones were highlights.

Thanks!

Re: Performance on the RPI3

I myself am very new to this. From what my limited understanding is though you are using a pi as a headend to playback mpeg2 video's. I have heard that this is best done by buying a license from raspberry pi license key for mpeg2. http://www.raspberrypi.com/mpeg-2-license-key/ I could be wrong on t...

Re: Performance on the RPI3

Whenever something on the screen moves moderately fast (say a person turns their head quickly) the edges of their head "blur". If the camera pans quickly, then objects "blur" around the edges. So of someone moves their arm quickly across the screen you get a digital blur around the edges of their arm.

Re: Performance on the RPI3

Well, performance is good, but it's still not quite there. Whenever things on the screen move quickly, there's some digital fractaling around the edges (both playing recorded TV, and playing .vob files).

Any other suggestions?

Getting Images working

MythFrontend running on the same system as MythBackend (.28-4) for purposes of this question. MythGallery plugin is installed. I suspect something has changed in a recent version update. Whenever I select Media Library > Images I get "No images found. Scan storage group using menu or insert/mount lo...

Music on the Raspberry Pi?

I'm running Raspbian on a Pi. According to the wiki: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi Raspbian 'This is the original operating system for Raspberry Pi and supports all features of MythTV frontend." I have the default Mythtv_light package installed. I don't see the option listed for Music? Is...

Scanning the Image Gallery

Currently running 0.28.

https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Gallery indicates that "For initial setup, the storage group must be manually synchronised by scanning the storage group via the pop-up menu option."

Can someone please point me to the location of the "pop-up menu option"?

Re: Configuring the "Watch List"

I do. But I want the Watch List to use them, and it doesn't appear to. I can have a series, with many things unwatched, and what shows up in the watch list isn't always the oldest show by air date.

Re: Configuring the "Watch List"

Thanks for the details. I meant "by original airdate" because I"d always want to watch the first aired version of something. (If I missed an episode from long ago, I'd want to watch it first).

Channel Name vs Callsign

I'm currently getting my channel information from SchedulesDirect. When I go to MythTV setup, and look at a particular channel, the channel is Channel Name: WRAL_HD Callsign: WRAL_HD When i look at the Listings in MythWeb, the channel displayed as : 5.1 (WRAL_HD) For me, WRAL is CBS. Configuring the "Watch List"

I know how to enable/disable the Watch List display on the Front End. What I"m wondering is whether there's a user-configurable way to modify what it's displaying and how it's sorted? What I want to see is the oldest version of a particular series by air date. Right now a) that's not what always hap...
