Change video defaults

Could the default value of 'Zoom' (under 'Setup' -> 'Video' -> 'Playback') be changed to 'Auto Detect (Default Off)'? This can accommodate a 16:9 TV to both 4:3 and 16:9 monitor (in 4:3 monitor it become letterboxed). With the default setting now, the left and right parts of 16:9 TV will get trimmed.

One more string not translated

In frontend, under 'Infomation Center' > 'System Status' > 'Machine Status', the 'unknown' beside 'uptime' is not translated.

Re: "Country" in defaults file

Thanks for the answer. But "HK" is not a valid option for now, as there is no frequency table entry for Hong Kong :)

I have submitted a bug report for this: https://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/12551

Re: "Country" in defaults file

So what should be used in the xml file? Lowercase (i.e. gb), Uppercase (i.e. GB) or full name? As a convention, country codes should be given in lowercase instead of uppercase.

Re: mythtv 0.27.6 and mythbuntu 16.04

It seems that 0.28 could be in time for Xenial Xerus (FeatureFreeze is on 18/2), isn't it?

Re: Two problems about tv channels

Thanks for replying. 1. Either pressing 'enter' or spacebar when the highlight bar is over a channel only brings me to the channel's edit screen, and there is no delete button in there. If I press the delete button in the program list screen, all channels will be gone. 2. Mine behave exactly like yo...

Two problems about tv channels

Hi, There are two problems about tv channels, please help. 1. There are some channels I don't want, and I uncheck their 'visible' box in 'channel editor'. They do disappear in EPG browse mode (pressing 'S' while watching live tv), but when I press 'up' or 'down' while watching live tv (I don't know ...

Could mythtv 0.27.6 be in time for mythbuntu 16.04? I sincerely hope that could happen.

Re: "Country" in defaults file

to point 1: Isn't the translation decided by "Language" tag alone? For example en_GB already includes the country info (at least the example locale config file shows that).

to point 2: If this is the case, this is exactly what I am looking for.

Re: "Country" in defaults file

Hi, 'defaults file' means the xml file under /locales, which is used to set various default values during MythTV startup. 'Scan' means under 'Input connections' > 'Scan', before one do tv channels scanning, there is an option to choose country, default value is 'Australia'. Other options include 'Un...

"Country" in defaults file

Could anyone tell me what's the use of the "Country" tag inside defaults file? And is there anyway to specify the "Country" under "Scan configuration" in defaults file? Thank you.
