Re: 5.1 Sound over HDMI questions

Thanks again. This seems (and sounds) good - works well! Can I ask what this does? Does selecting "stereo PCM" mean it uses PCM for stereo only, so when I set the output to 5.1, not stereo, then it doesn't use PCM? I have an mkv file that I ripped with MakeMKV and when I play it in MythTV, the info...

Re: Can't play video files

using myth >= 0.27.3 would likely have solved your ipv6 related problems.

if you want to disable IPv6 in myth, kick mythtv-setup and in the general settings, set the IPv6 address to "", the empty entry.. save. done.

no more ipv6

Re: mythfrontend out of memory

if all you changed is the capture card, and seeing as far as mythtv is concerned it makes no difference between dvb-c or dvb-t, the issue is unlikely in myth.

otherwise you would have had the same issue before.

culprit sounds more in the drivers

Re: 5.1 Sound over HDMI questions

The best way to "fix" the 9400 incorrect channel order is to never use LPCM out. Go into the audio settings, then advanced and check stereo PCM. In the audio settings, check AC3 and DTS. Set speakers to 5.1, set up mixer if you want to. Now all multi-channel audio that aren't ac3 or dts will be conv...

Re: Mythtv on Ubuntu: Auto Shutdown problem

Does the user mythbackend runs as, has appropriate permissions to run the shutdown commands, or is in the sudoers list?

Re: Upgrading to 0.27.1 - or is it already there?

mythtv packages on ubuntu *are* mythbuntu packages. It's made by the same team, just not upgraded anywhere as often.

by enabling the mythbuntu repository, you are simply allowing the mythtv packages to be upgraded to a new version

Re: Support ARM video accelerators

The biggest problem right now is what seems to be a HUGE memory leak during playback of most of my recordings. This is not ARM related, it happens on my intel frontends as well. It is just more noticabl on my ARM boxes due to less installed memory. were you using master or fixes/0.27? there was a m...

Re: Support ARM video accelerators

I have a semi-working raspberry pi decoder for MythTV. I had the pi connected to my regular home mythtv and I stopped working on the decoder because basic stuff like navigating my TV recordings was too slow. But I still have the patches if anyone wants them, I got as far as having the Pi display at...
