Re: Backend on Pi 4

Jim, thanks for posting your instructions! They were extremely helpful although I ran into some issues as my configuration is different than yours. I am noting what happened and what I did differently so it may help others. My hardware is: Raspberry Pi 4 with 4GB DRAM SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime 3 t...

Re: Backend on Pi 4

Thanks for the advice, I will do it that way. Since I am doing it from an hdd this time, I would like to save intermediate images of the hdd in case something goes wrong. Do you know of an easy way to save an image? I am trying AOMEI backupper, but it will take up to 4 hours. I basically only have R...

Re: Backend on Pi 4

I have a 5TB hdd that I installed Raspbian Lite and have configured the Pi 4 to boot directly to it and converted the filesystem to GPT so I have access to the whole drive and will now start the MythTV lite install. Is it ok to do it this way? I also plan to do the install from a new mythtv user wit...

Re: XMLTV Setup Messed Up

I accidently ran a setup script (pi-setup_mythtv_31.sh) that essentially 'killed' the system. I am starting from scratch and installing the latest Raspbian Lite (2020-08-20) and then will install MythTV_Light per the wiki instructions. Instead of using 'pi', I will use 'mythtv' for user name.

Re: XMLTV Setup Messed Up

My issue right now is configuring a grabber for MythTV to use. At this point, I think my setup is broken since I now get this error: pi@mythtv:~/build $ /usr/local/bin/tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite --configure --config-file /pi/.mythtv/FiOS.xmltv Failed to write to /pi/.mythtv/FiOS.xmltv.TMP at /usr/loca...

XMLTV Setup Messed Up

Hi, I was using Schedules Direct with the tv_grab_zz_sdjson grabber. I then decided to convert to the tv_grab_zz_sdjson_sqlite grabber to get more days. I followed the directions in the User Manual section 6 for setting up XMLTV. It did not work and I tried several other things, and things just got ...
