Re: Mythweb Error on CentOS 6

Ah, I misunderstood. Well thank you! I dropped the lost+found table. Took me a minute to figure out how to deal with the plus character. The settings button in MythWeb is working! Yay! That was a simple fix but you're the only one to suggest it.

Many thanks.

Re: Mythweb Error on CentOS 6

Yes I do. I setup a separate file system and mounted it under /var/lib/mysql. I removed lost+found but still have the error: datetime: 2019-12-04 08:18:26 (PST) errornum: 256 error type: User Error error string: !!NoTrans: SQL Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corres...

Re: VAAPI Issues

Well I wish there was someone here who's an expert on the Intel i915 driver. I think I solved it with an optimization I installed years ago on my older, less powerful frontends. In /etc/rc.local: echo 32768 | sudo tee /proc/asound/card0/pcm3p/sub0/prealloc echo 'performance' | sudo tee /sys/devices/...

VAAPI Issues

Brand new frontend: Intel Nuc NUC5i3RYH, 4GB RAM, 128GB storage. Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS and Myth 29.1. I am unable to select VAAPI Normal as a playback profile. Myth says "Unable to initialize video." Playback *does* work under both OpenGL and VDPAU however there is a very slight stutter to playback. My...

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

Yes I played with xrandr. When the screen went blank, I found I could bring it "alive" again by switching to another resolution. Sadly, switching back to 1080p/60 *still* didn't work.

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

No it's being read. My monitor identifier "Samsung50" as well as the specified Intel driver settings are present in Xorg.0.log. Just not the custom mode lines.

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

So the calculated modeline is: Modeline "1920x1080R" 138.50 1920 1968 2000 2080 1080 1083 1088 1111 +hsync -vsync I added this to my monitor section and commented out the others. However after rebooting I do not see "1920x1080R" anywhere in Xorg.0.log. Any thoughts on why? I wasn't expecting to use ...

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

As I mentioned above, I mis-titled this thread. The video mode isn't changing. The option for "separate playback and menu modes" is *not* selected. I verified this at one point, playing some low resolution videos and confirming in the TV that the output was 1080p/60. I sure hope it's something in My...

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

As a test I renamed xorg.conf and let X autoconfigure. It picks 1080p/60 by default. No help there. X auto-probes six different 1080p modes on this TV. I extracted them and tried to set them up in xorg.conf. Unlike my other front ends, somehow this didn't display the manually defined ModeLines in Xo...

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

Yes, the TV turns off awhile after displaying "invalid mode." Pulling and reinserting the HDMI cable does nothing. The host is still running in this state. I experimented using xrandr to change modes after the error: xrandr -d :0 --output HDMI2 --mode 1280x1024 This *did* make the screen come alive ...

Display Randomly Crashes

I clearly have the wrong title on this thread. The video mode is not changing. The TV displays 1920x1080/60 regardless of the stream I am playing. This is my first time working with Ubuntu. I had installed ubuntu-desktop thinking it was needed. It isn't. I uninstalled it. I went back to try the open...

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

I'll try and debug this more. I have already looked at Xorg.0.log as well as mythfrontend.log. I didn't see anything.

The weird thing is I already have a working frontend on this TV and it too has Intel video.

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

The video is integrated Intel like I have on my working frontends. The playback is completely solid when attached via HDMI to a computer display. It's only when attached to my Samsung TV that the problem occurs.

I will play with the refresh rate setting.

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

The "Use Separate Video Modes" option was unchecked. I checked it and selected 1080p for both menus and playback. I left refresh at auto. The problem still happens. I went in and out of several streams with different native resolutions. Is there some other setting you are talking about? Should I set...

Re: Changing Video Mode causes Failure

Damn. Nope, TV still erratically displays "Invalid Mode". Going in and out of recording, live TV and videos, eventually it shuts down.

Now I really am out of ideas. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them
