Re: White Box covers most of Screen

I'm not sure what is so odd. MythTV does not work. I asked for help. I have tried the posted suggestions. They did not help. paulh seems to think it is my responsibility to tell the FreeBSD crew to fix the MythTV code. That is not my role in life. I downloaded and tried to compile the code, myself, ...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

Why don't you guys help your fellow FreeBDS users by fixing the port if it's broken. Give something back instead of take, take, take  That doesn't really help. I thought these forums, specifically one titled, "Troubleshooting" would be where one could get help. Just because I don't have a "de...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

I just updated my ports tree the 30th. Timing is everything. I've installed MythTV from both packages and ports. In building a FreeBSD media server I've run into non-maintained ports, and the EOL messages for py27* packages (MythTV and kodi). A frustrating experience at best. Then I turned to a Virt...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

Thank you for answering. I was not able to find the file mythuiwebbrowser.cpp I complied and installed the file from ports, as well. Suggestions?

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

So FreeBSD and Arch are using your code, and its their faul the code is flawedt? You (MythTV developers) wrote the code, they're just using it. To me it would seem that the person that wrote the flawed code would take the responsibility and fix their code. The lack of responsibility confused me. If ...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

It's not rocket science honestly... Seriously you just need MythTV 30.0 from around February 11th 2020 or later and all should be good. To be clear the fix is not in 29.0. I just installed V30 and I still get the screen-filling white box. I launched my last rocket some 40 years ago. My rockets went...

Re: MythTV Gives Segmentation Fault

I recovered the ZFS backup and I got the same error. So I will reinstall and leave Nvidia out of the mix. I may have taken the snapshot after I installed Nvidia. :(

MythTV Gives Segmentation Fault

I had it running but then I got the white box. I installed the Nvidia drivers, rebooted and now when I run mythtv-setup I get the following error: 2020-08-29 09:45:53.554863 I Using Frameless Window 2020-08-29 09:45:53.554895 I Using Full Screen Window 2020-08-29 09:45:53.586231 I UI Screen Resoluti...

Re: Mythweb missing index.html, index.php.

FreeBSD puts files in different locations than Linux. For good or bad. I have a working installation of phpmyadm, so I've been using it as a guide. I wanted to use mythweb as it gives more options. But I forgot tabout :6544. That does work. :) When I goto to http://anthem.027esc.net/mythweb/ I get t...

Re: Program Guide All Channels Unknown (Unknown)

Correct. The user jjthomas is included in the group mythtv. I am getting the guide, program listings are completed, but, I'm getting the wrong listings, though. I'll contact Schedules Direct to see if they can help with that.

Thank you.
