Re: sh files as additional MythVideo file type

If anybody needs it, here was what I used:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
match="myth://Videos@192.168.1.1:6543"
repl="/mnt/store/Videos"
source ${1/$match/$repl}

Re: Multiple simultaneous sound output

Your comment prompted me to try changing Setup->Audio. If I set it to the stereo analog audio out coming from the motherboard, then MythMusic uses my 'dupe' asound config properly. If I set it back to the HDMI, I get the static noise in MythMusic again

Re: Multiple simultaneous sound output

Setup->Audio is just pointing to my HDMI connection (ALSA:hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=1). I'm trying to get just the basics going for now, so I've got MythMusic configured for it's own audio device (ALSA:dupe). Eventually I'd like to use the same audio configuration in Setup->Audio, but don't want to compl...

Multiple simultaneous sound output

I am using this asound.conf, where hw:0,0 is analog out from motherboard sound, and hw:1,7 is HDMI. I point MythMusic to the 'dupe' audio device. The HDMI side works well, but the analog side seems to be spitting out digital noise. I had this working a long time ago, even with multiple channels, but...

sh files as additional MythVideo file type

This is the scenario; I like to rip my 3D blu-rays to two mkvs, one with the left-side video, audio, subtitles, etc., and one with just the right-side video. If I want to watch it in 2D, I just pick the left file, no problem. However if I want to watch it in full 3D, I'd need to launch bino via a sc...

Re: A big Thankyou

A big thanks from me too. I started on 0.16 many years ago, although in that time my hardware has barely changed. My whole house is effectively running off of MythTV. I recently had people over for SuperBowl and watched several hours of live TV on multiple frontends without a hitch.

Dummy sound card volume

I have a receiver that doesn't have an on-screen display. The receiver is also tucked away in a nook behind the TV, so when I change the volume, I can only tell if its changing by listening. I currently have myth configured with external volume, and I have a Pulse-Eight USB HDMI CEC dongle. What I'd...

MythMusic stereo upmix to 5.1 missing LFE

I have MythMusic configured to upmix stereo to 5.1. I mostly listen to FLAC files, and have my audio connected via HDMI into a receiver and a 6.1 speaker setup. I believe I hear audio on the rear channels as expected, but I don't hear anything coming out of the subwoofer. Any ideas?

Re: Anamorphic projection lens support

I don't think that's quite it, the horizontal stretch is toggled so that basically all video is the same height. The projector is natively 1080p 16:9. Other complications arise in videos coming from blu-ray, where the letterboxes are encoded within the image itself. Also, it would be nice to have a ...

Anamorphic projection lens support

My projector has a built-in anamorphic vertical stretch that works well, but cuts off the MythTV GUI and subtitles, etc. I am wondering what my options are in MythTV to accomplish the same thing. I can choose Video in the menu and pick V.Stretch, which works great, but doesn't stretch the OSD. Not a...
