Re: New ATSC tuners

Hmmm. I never knew about multirec, since I was using a cable card up until January, which doesn't have subchannels. In that case, maybe you can just ignore everything I said. :) Maybe I'll have to try multirec at some point.

Re: New ATSC tuners

Just to clarify, they can only record one virtual channel per tuner? IOW's they could only record one of these channels per tuner, 8_1, 8_2, 8_3. and 8_4, which are all on the same real channel 9 here. With a regular tuner one can record all of these at the same time with just 1 tuner. Correct. The...

Re: New ATSC tuners

Speaking for the HDHomeRun Prime (which is no longer available new) and the HDHomeRun Connect Duo/Quatro, it's one channel per internal tuner. The Prime can stream three simultaneous channels, while the Duo and Quatro can stream two and four, respectively.

Re: Confusing mythweb commit 289556

I guess there are technically two possible ways to fix it: 1. Remove the extra <link> referencing the css file directly 2. Remove the extra <link> referencing the css file directly AND rename video.css back to video.css.php (letting the dcss rewrite handle it) Personally, I think it should be option...

Re: New ATSC tuners

I second the recommendation for the HDHomeRun. I was using an HDHomeRun Prime (3-tuner cable card) for probably about nine years before I recently cut the cord and switched to an HDHomeRun Connect Quatro (found it on sale for about $110). The ability to stream the video over the network is nice, sin...

Confusing mythweb commit 289556

I've decided to go through the mythweb code and do some cleanup (see https://forum.mythtv.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3865), and I came across a strange commit. Commit 289556 has the following changelog: ------------------------------ commit 28955604496204af3c33b60089b9159ffbb96f0e Author: David Hampton...

Re: Interest in mythweb cleanup?

Honestly, I didn't even know the WebFrontend existed (I've been running 0.24 for about eight years). I was a little curious why the "in browser" player in mythweb was still wanting to use flv files and not something more modern (although the WebFrontend doesn't play videos for me, prompting to insta...

Re: Wireless mini keyboard recommendations

I personally have been using the iPazzPort 21S Mini Keyboard for a few years and it works well. I mainly use it when the Linux driver for my IR receiver decides to crash and I don't want to reboot. I also have a full size Logitech K710 keyboard if I need to do any serious typing. (I can't post links...

Interest in mythweb cleanup?

I just recently upgraded to MythTV 30 from 0.24 (yes, I was running that extremely old version for different reasons). I haven't moved to 31, simply because I know there were some additional major revamps in that release, so I'm just trying to modernize a little bit for now and test the waters since...
