You should be able to get a backtrace by running your compiled mythtv under the gdb debugger. Start it from the command line with 'gdb mythfrontend' and when it crashes you'll get the prompt "(gdb)". Type 'bt' and post the output.

IIRC, I was trying to 1) eliminate a zero length file 2) align the name of an outlier CSS file with the names of all other CSS files. It sounds like I replaced one problem with a different problem. Please feel free to add any fix you think is appropriate to your open bug report.

The OSX builder is running OSX 10.15.3 and XCode 11.3.1. I built fixes/31 on that machine, and I can successfully start mythfrontend, play recordings, play videos, and play music. What video profile are you using? With fixes/31 it should probably be "VideoToolBox Normal", although none of the others...
